Our flight was delayed by several hours so we arrived to the resort just before the restaurant closed. My family hadn't eaten since breakfast and when we asked about the restaurant squeezing us in before close, they graciously agreed. The team was incredibly kind and helpful. The staff we spoke to that evening remembered us by name the next morning. They went out of their way to make sure our family enjoyed our short time at the resort. We would love to come back and visit again and highly recommend this property!

The property is beautiful and staff are kind and friendly. My only issue was with the beach front property. Due to the Sargassum issue, the smell is horrible and making it hard to spend time on the beach or on the beautiful balcony. I would recommend staying at the lagoon side if you’re heading there. Other than that, I would definitely return.

Spacious 2 Bedroom unit. Was on a ground floor which we were initially disappointed with, but the advantage of stepping directly out to the pool compensated for that. Items of note - the oven is disabled on the stove/oven - disappointing to reheat their great pizza in a microwave, but expect it is a safety/fire concern. Beach and pool area was well maintained - definitely glad we chose the ocean side of the resort. Would definitely return!

Umaya Resort is the perfect blend of comfort, location, and laid-back beach vibes. With a bakery, fruit stand and several award-winning beachfront restaurants a short walk away, no car is needed. The property itself is fantastic. We loved spotting starfish and stingrays off the dock. We enjoyed the complimentary paddle boards and kayaks, sunrise walks along the beach and the smoothie bar. Our unit had a full kitchen, great air conditioning and plenty of hot water. Peaceful, scenic, and incredibly convenient; would absolutely stay here again.
