Beautiful part of the world. Lovely accomodation amongst the rainforest. Secluded and quiet. Jack and Lana are very welcoming hosts. Only 5 mins drive from town.

What a wonderful weekend away for our anniversary, the seclusion where this property is, the warm welcome from Jack as we arrived to check in, to the secluded path to get to our Gumnut cabin was just magnificent. Peace and quiet was the first thing we noticed, lovely food stocked up in the fridge, coffee machine, gentle music playing. What a beautiful cottage, we stayed 2nights and had a relaxing fantastic time away from the world. The couples massage by Marnie and Amanda recommended by Jack was truly amazing, in the comfort of our cottage too. All in all, if peace and quiet, rest and relaxation are on the menu for you, give Jack a call and leave the rest to him. Thank you Jack and Lana, we had a fantastic weekend. Cheers Rick and Melissa.

Loved the rainforest setting, open fire and spa bath. The owner/manager was very helpful & available at any time. The property was located between Montville & Maleny with their restaurants, shops, galleries and cafes so plenty to see and do.

It was an amazing ng stay. Great host, wonderful welcoming and very generous. Loved our hideaway cabinet. It is exactly like the photos even better. Definitely will go back and will stay even longer than only a few days.

Needs a good clean up. Property fairly rundown Stayed 4 nights,supposed to be a b&b,given breakfast for 2 days and then told that was it?? Certainly not worth the money.

Fig Tree Cottage was everything we needed to unwind and relax. From the crackling fire to the big double spa bath...and the home made scones with fresh cream and jam, delicious!

Tidy cabin with a fantastic outlook that takes in beautiful sunset views. We first stayed here about 4 years ago and felt that it was looking a little tired and could do with an update to furnishings and a thorough clean. perfect romantic getaway
We have stayed at Hunchy twice now and loved both stays. The super private cabins and perfect for relaxing and unwinding. We also love the walk down to the private waterfall.

Great accommodation and friendly greeting. Lovely breakfast provided and scones and cream. Didn’t go out for dinner. Stayed in n and cooked and sat down n front of the fire. Very romantic setting and very comfortable bed. Great spa. Highly recommend.

Our stay at hunchy hideaway was so lovely. Andrew was very friendly and always happy to help. The food provided was more than we ever expected and was absolutley delicious. The spa bath and fire were perfect and the location/ views were stunning. We had such a relaxing time and will be back for our anniversary next year.

Needs a lot of refurbishing in the bathrooms , no wifi when it was added on their website and Expedia website and only satellite tv, for the cost of it per night could be a lot better

Hi Shack, sorry you were mislead about WiFi... it is available in reception if you need it, you just have to ask! The satellite TV is in place of the usual free to air as we cannot get any reception here with an antenna. All the stations are the same as usual free to air. Cheers!

Heavenly Hideaway
This was our second visit to Hunchy Hideaway and we were just as delighted on this stay as we had been on our first. We tried a different cabin this time and were charmed by the layout of Gum Nut cottage. From the included breakfast hamper and welcome scones, to the luxurious soaps and bubble bath provided for the spa, Hunchy Hideaway provides the perfect atmosphere for relaxation.

Simply Supurb
What a magical place to spend a relaxing and/or romantic time with the one you love. Ali and Denis are the perfect hosts. There when you need them while being very conveniently and respectfully not there when you don't want to be disturbed. Stunning surrounding forests are the perfect back drop to the romantic, well stocked and clean room. The scones and yogurt etc are literally the best I have ever had. Will be and have been recommending Hunchy Hideaway to EVERYONE!!

Total luxury, perfect escape
My partner and I had a blissful three night stay at Hunchy Hideaway. Ali and Denis have thought of everything to ensure that their visitors enjoy total relaxation in perfect privacy amongst the rain forest in the individual cottages. From the heart shaped scones awaiting us on arrival to the generous breakfast supplies, there was very little need for us to leave our sanctuary. Fluffy robes, gleaming red cedar, quiet music on the CD player, a crackling fire and a hot spa - what more could any couple want in the middle of a wet winters day? We cannot wait to return to this little paradise in the foothills.

Fantastic stay overall. It was a pity that the neighbours were renovating so there were occasional power saw and nail gun sounds echoing across the otherwise peaceful valley during the day. This is of course, not the fault of the property or the hosts. Overall, a fantastic stay for this price point.
