Unfortunately, the receptionist's attitude was neither welcoming nor professional. First impressions are important, and I felt the interaction lacked the courtesy and hospitality one would expect from a hotel of this reputation.
In addition, no complimentary water was offered upon check-in, which is a small gesture but one that many...

"The hotel is pet friendly which is good but we had to sit on the tiled part of the flooring which was directly by the entrance so every time people went in or out there was a cold blow on us and it wasn't ideal for the lounge area"

"Great location, with loads of parking in the area and really close to the station (handy to get to Newcastle) and the seaside.

The best thing overall was the cafe, in which we went for all the three days. Hats off! The staff was amazing, and they could accommodate our...

"Room was exceptionally clean with a very comfortable bed. One of the double glazed window units was blown and required replacing and the ensuite was a little tired and needed upgrading. Breakfast was very good, as was the evening meal. Staff needed chasing up not keeping up replacing side plates, and keeping coffee pots full. Staff were quick to apologise and bring out replacements. We will almost certainly visit again, despite getting a few things wrong the staff were extremely friendly and...
