"This was a surprise delight. My family stayed here on our journey between Basel and Munich and found the area lovely, with loads of scenic walks. The hotel is clean and the room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the village. The bed was on the firm side, but the room’s temperature was not too hot. "Our stay was three days, the staff were friendly and very helpful from the moment we arrived. The pool and spa areas were superb, and having Black Forest Gateaux with a pot of tea by the pool was not something we expected to be able to do - but very memorable. The breakfast was epic, it’s plain to see how very proud the chefs are, and this is reflected in the quality and range of breakfast items available. We had guest e bikes (at no charge) we explored the local forest area, this made the hills very easy to navigate - the bikes were of excellent quality. "
