Hans and Melli are possibly the best hosts we have encountered on our recent stay at this majestic resort. From the reception to our checkout it was faultless and every request we made was done seamlessly. Time was our only limit as we wish we could have stayed longer, but the resort was fully booked. That alone says it all. 5 star from s.

Everything was great. Especially the staff. Komang is an outstanding cook. And everyone was friendly and helpful. My only problem was the room they gave me was discribed as having AC. It did not. I might suggest they correct that for future clientel.

Beautiful, relaxing, autentic, great food and staf

Puri Manga is the most wondefull place. We loved the garden feel, the pool area (and the view from the pool), the small houses you stay in, the restaurant, the bar and the spa area. There is a clear red line, calmness and authentic style in the overall design of the ressort, which we really liked. The moment we arrived, we imediatly felt welcome and was greeted with a cold drink and a small wet towel for washing hands and/or face. The staff is very friendly and service minded, even compared to the overall great Bali standard. The food was great, even better then other twice as expensive resorts we stayed at (again compared to the great Bali standard) and the spa area is great. We booked a 5 hours tour with our own driver, which was put together after our wishes (waterfalls, budhist tempel and hot springs), but there are many more places to see, and Puri Manga is a great hub for trips in the nothern part of Bali. And yes, the last 100 meters up the the resort are a bit steep. But inqurie the resort to send a driver to pick you up, if you cannot find a decent driver yourself :) It was my second stay at Puri Manga and i will definitely come back again, because it its the most relaxing and beautiful place to stay in Bali, and their staff are the best :)

Lovely resort, though certain upgrades are requir

The place and the resort are amazing, but the main drawback is that the toilet is located outside the room in an open space. This setup is particularly inconvenient at night. Similarly, the shower is also in an open area, which adds to the discomfort. Dinner is served in very small portions—especially the rice, which was limited to just two tablespoons. Aside from these issues, the location itself is lovely.

Property was a little out of Lovina Beach, but was only a 5min car ride away. Lunch and dinning options were limited at the resort, so if you didnt like the available options, this meant you were heading into Lovina Beach or beyond to find a restaurant that had a wider menu range.

It is a quite nice place but too many flaws. Location is very remote. The very unpleasant going up and down very steep road literally only fit 1 car ( you need a car that strong enough to drive here). The staff are nice. Bedroom is ok clean some wall paint is chipping. I am not a big fan of the decoration. Too many painting and sculpture hanging. I feel like i am sleeping and being watch (not sure if this is some sort of tradition), definitely not my cup of tea. The bathroom only flush 1 time then we have to wait for good 10 minutes, maybe more, to flushed the 2nd time. I don't know for sure but, seems like we are the only guest there. When we are about to check out, the lobby is dark, pitch black (yes it is early in the morning since we are going for the early dolphin tour). Originally we want to come back to the hotel after our boat tour. But because of the condition of road getting there is hard to pass and kind of dangerous. we change our mind. If you like quiet and remote place. This is a good choice.

Wir hatten eine ganz tolle Zeit im Puri Mangga. Es war einfach toll. Die Anlage ist sehr schön mit einem unglaublichen Ausblick und einem ganz tollen Team. Preis-Leistung top. Der Norden von Bali ist wirklich richtig toll. Wir waren leider nur drei Tage hier, ein bis zwei Tage mehr wären ganz gut gewesen. Shuttle-Service vom Hotel an die Promenade kostenlos. Und der Pick-up Service von Ganesa war einfach Klasse. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Liebe Grüße Tobi

It's a very calm resort remotely located in a hilly village area of Lovina with a beautiful sea view and sunset point.. This is an ideal location for someone looking for calm and private place for retreat.. The staff's hospitality was amazing.

Arrived midnight. It had been raining. Viewed 2 rooms both were leaking in the roof. The 3rd one had a terrible blocked view compared to first 2 rooms. In the morning, woken by a loud wailing sound. I never came here to be disturbed. Management were great when I told them in morning I’m leaving. There is no way I’m staying. Management did not charge me. Arranged for a car to take me to The Lovina, a nearby hotel. Management allowed me to call Expedia customer service for help. Management of this hotel listened to me. For this management, I give 4 stars! Thank you for listening and responding positively to my complaint. You make me confident to recommend you and rate you highly, regardless of my experience.

What an absolute hidden gem in the North of Bali. Set high on a hill with views that stretch as far as the eyes can see. We had the pleasure of staying 2 wonderful nights. The staff are welcoming, attentive and friendly.

Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht. Laut der Beschreibung und Bilder sollten wir in einer grünen Oase ankommen. Vor Ort sah es leider ganz anders aus. Wir haben eine sehr vertrocknete Anlage vorgefunden. Uns ist bewusst, dass wir zu Beginn der Regenzeit und nach der langen Trockenzeit angereist sind. Aber andere Hotelanlagen in direkter Nähe waren sehr grün und wurden vermutlich bewässert. Die Toilettenbrille war schon sehr alt und dreckig. Auch hier ist mir bewusst, dass die Toilette draußen steht, aber in anderen Hotels haben wir das so auch nicht erlebt. Wir sind nach zwei Nächten abgereist, weil wir unseren Urlaub dort nicht weiter verbringen wollten. Haben leider die letzten 3 Nächte vom Hotel nicht zurück erstattet bekommen, obwohl die Beschreibung anders war. Expedia hat uns zumindest ein wenig entschädigt. Das Frühstück ging insgesamt, vor allem die Fruchtplatte und der Saft waren sehr gut.

Super cute and friendly in hills above Lovina

This place is away from all the other tourist trappings down in Lovina yet the hotel still offers free transport via a shuttle down into Lovina should you wish to go down there. This place is tucked in the hills above Lovina for great panoramic views and sounds only of nature and the countryside. The staff are super friendly and take the time to learn and call you by your name. I stayed in the Lumbung and although no air conditioning I was fine and cool enough at night in late October/early November. Breakfast is absolutely amazing with fresh, homemade bread and jams.

They certainly try hard but this property simply doesn't match the description. it is not by the sea and shouldn't suggest otherwise. I felt like the staff were trying to extract as much money from us as possible, suggesting no local taxis were available and forcing us to use their service which obviously comes at a cost. Also it should mention that the room includes an outside toilet which is an acquired taste when looking a lizard in the eye while sitting prone on the toilet. I also felt very uneasy with the noise of someone walking around the outside of the villa at about 6 am. Disappointing hotel who should be more honest about the property and respect their guests more.

Hyggeligt og roligt hotel

PuriManga er først og fremmest et super hyggeligt og roligt hotel med en dejlig udsigt. En lækker pool. Der er transportservice ned til byen/vandet fra kl. 10 - 18 hver dag og uden for dette tidsrum koster det lidt penge at blive bragt eller hentet.

眺めの良い部屋とプール

三泊したが、利用客は、私たちだけ！ 雨季という時期のせいか？確かに遠くの海原は霞がち、プールは、寒くて入り難い。 せっかくの眺めの良さが、もったいない。 スタッフは、明るくて、フレンドリーだ。 宿の周りには、集落が有るものの、散策を楽しむようなものは、何もない。 よって、三食とも、宿のレストランを利用するしかない。 でも、毎晩、2品程度の日替わりメニューを、用意して、もてなしてくれた。 山の中腹にあり涼しい。乾季に再訪してみたい。
