"Generally 3 stars not because it was bad, it was a clean and cheap motel .. and amongst those this one was average. If you're on a budget and just passing through then this is absolutely fine. Our very limited contact with members of staff were very polite and, thankfully for us, their English was excellent and way better than our French."

"It‘s a beautiful little hotel with comfort and Charme. The rooms are very nice, well equipped and modern. The staff is just extraordinary. The hotel has a paradise like garden where we had our breakfast. The restaurant is a real Gourmet Restaurant that is just amazing. The best food we had since a long time. "The property is absolutely lovely with a beautiful courtyard and a communal lounge area. The location cannot be beaten, you can see Les Arenes at the end of the street and it's just 5 minutes walk to anywhere in the city centre of Nîmes. It is a safe and quiet area too. Our room was spacious, well decorated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The host of the property, Jean-Luc, was so warm and welcoming. "On our visit to the south of France we decided to stop in Nîmes overnight to see the temples and Roman Coliseum. We chose Hotel de l’Ampitheatre for its proximity to the train station and the sights, and high ratings. We were not disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and charming, and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. It felt like a lovely little Inn. "The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to help you enjoy your stay. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. just a short ride to both Nimes and Arles.
