Lovely staff and great location, just a short walk into stresa. Unfortunately the room was a bit dated and had an unpleasant damp smell the entire week. I booked 2 rooms with garden views but ours were 1st floor and overlooked the hotel services parking. As a result, it was quite a noisy start each morning, with vans and buses pulling up outside our rooms. A big plus is the hotel pool and outside area with a lovely view of Lake Maggiore. A nice scenic lake front path goes from the hotel into Stresa. An amazing restaurant in town called Mamma Mia where we ate most nights. Altogether, a pleasant stay once out of the hotel rooms.

This hotel is in an absolutely spectacular location and is situated in beautifully kept gardens which include an stunning outdoor pool. However - we were extremely disappointed with our room. There was continuous, ongoing construction all around it and even within the ceiling space above our bathroom. Concrete dust was prevalent and air conditioning was not functional. Breakfast was not included in our room rate and at a cost of 25 Euros per person, it too was disappointing for this price.

Amazing stay!

This property is gorgeous. The suite and pool was amazing. The view was breathtaking, pictures don’t do it justice. The staff was very friendly, too. Perfect place for a couples getaway.

Truly a Grand experience

Beautiful upscale Hotel. Comfortable large rooms and excellent bar and pool area. We had a balcony room that faced the water… stunning views.

We stayed at the standard room. The hotel has 2 Buildings. The newly renovated main building with modern biunique hotel style rooms and an old secondary building with classic rooms beautiful antique furniture but paper thin walls. Transferring between the two buildings via corridor or funicular style salivator. The old building is very loud, every noise from snoring to snorting of the other guests can be heard. No earplugs on request. No other rooms were available, just for the hefty upgrade of 300 EUR per night. Slippers bathrobes in the standard room only on request, No kettle, Coffe or Tea in the room, No iron, No refill of the water bottles, no minibar service (COVID as a reason in 2025). Internet slow and limited to 1GB first day, then 500MB the following day. Umbrelas are available at a vending machine for an extra charge of 2 EUR / 48h at this 4 Star hotel. What a joke. I did not have breakfast, buffet looked simple, continental style, warm dishes were cold, presentation without love. Medium quality coffee. A plus was the freshly pressed orange juice and the fresh fruit. There was a coice of gluten free and lactose free products. Clearly overpriced breakfast at 25 EUR per day. Clearly overpriced room at +150 EUR per day for the standard room. Staff very Friendly and at good practice to send you away with a smile rather then helping with your complaint. That is also to be considered an art. Very friendly and attentive staff in the restaurant. Thank you!

The hotel is charming and in a beautiful location. Some parts of the hotel are run down and let the rest down. These are the indoor pool and the gym.
