"Clean rooms, comfortable beds, basic room facilities, wifi problematic on the top floor. Staff very helpful, although a little frazzled during breakfast service. Good cooked breakfast. Limited parking is a problem when full."
Camelot Castle Hotel

"I booked this place for the views, and the beautiful sunset certainly didn't disappoint. The building itself is stunning, and the lounge is fantasticโabsolutely full of interesting paintings and knick-knacks to look at. However, the stay had its downsides. The building is in a bit of poor condition, with visible water and other damages here and there. The parking lot is also completely unmarked and has an awkward shape, making it feel crowded and a bit hectic to navigate. As for the single room, it was acceptable but felt a bit like staying in the servant's quarters of a big mansion, especially after seeing the grand lounge. The en-suite was just a tiny, self-contained bathroom unit added to the space. It wasn't the most enjoyable part of the stay, but it did the job."

"Nice old fashioned mill in the countryside. Lovely staff. Room was basic but clean. Wifi free but spotty. Our room was directly over the bar so quite noisy at times with people coming and going to other rooms. Did quiet down around 10.30 both nights. Shower good. Bed ok. Best thing about our stay was the food. It was amazing. Breakfast was really good quality. We did the steak night for ยฃ15. Was best meal we had in cornwall. The steak was lovely and the chips were delicious. Location was 10 minutes drive to tintagel down a very very narrow windy road. Would hate to do in the dark. Pleasant staff."

"I thought the rooms were amazing for the price, the AC was a god send and the pressure in the shower was great. I was extremely happy with the rooms and would gladly visit again. The course was amazing, really well kept and the staff were really polite and friendly. The only gripe that we had is that the time waiting to order and for the food to come wasnโt very good. We ate at Trethorne all three nights and it was the same every night. We even had to approach the bar to order our food on the second night. Larger tables were asked if their food was ok 2 or 3 times but we barely got a look from the waiter/waitresses."

"Welcoming hotel with helpful staff. Lovely old country house, very comfortable bed in delightful upper room with incredible views. Some tired and old decor in breakfast room but other areas well maintained and clean. Disappointed not to have had a shower in the bathroom, only a bath and had to ask for more shower gel and soap as it was not replaced."

"We had the most wonderful stay at Bude on the Beach while celebrating our anniversary. We were so pleased to be surprised with a room upgrade, which made our stay even more special. When we got to our room, we found a lovely handwritten anniversary note waiting for us โ such a thoughtful gesture that really made us smile. The staff were fantastic throughout our stay. Every single person we spoke to was warm, friendly and genuinely helpful, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. Itโs those little touches and the excellent service that really set this hotel apart. The location is unbeatable, with beautiful sea views and just a short walk to everything Bude has to offer. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a few days away. We honestly couldnโt fault our stay and we left already talking about when we would return. Thank you to everyone at Bude on the Beach for making our anniversary so memorable. We wouldnโt hesitate to recommend this hotel and canโt wait to return!"
