"Over night stay, had to wait a while for reception as didnt realise I had to use the phone to get a reception member. The room card had to be reset but the receptionist was very helpful. Once in room it was very clean and spacious. No issues. Bed very comfortable and warm. I ate in the restaurant, wasnt many guests. Food was ok. I finished and no staff around so I left to go to room. "Very friendly staff all round .The hotel needs a bit updating stairs to room ,we stayed in Apple blossom room which was spacious with a large bathroom .Mini fridge in room with fresh milk nice touch .The room was comfortable in the heatwave ,with a fan included . "Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery! The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden."
