"We enjoyed our overnight stay at the weathervane. It was very good value for the money it cost. We had the breakfast included option and we're glad we did. The staff were very helpful indeed. We decided to have our evening meal there as well. We both really enjoyed the food which was cooked perfectly and the prices were very much cheaper than we pay in Essex."

"Definetly didn’t look as good as the pics. Took 20 minutes to run a bath. Had to keep the window open as it was boiling in the hotel. Where ever you moved you had creaking floorboards. Worst mattress we’ve ever slept on. No support whatsoever. Walls looked like either discovered or damp patches. No toiletries for bathroom except toilet roll. Regular clientele of the hotel look like it’s gets used as a doss house. Folk near the entrance drinking alcohol and smoking certain substances. Won’t be returning. Paid less for decent hotels with no problems and all the extras."

"The key was missing from the key safe and having phoned the owner it turned out that a member of staff had walked off with the keys. Also no shower gel. With the kitchen being the other side of a vary thin wall i was awaken around 6am by noise in the communal kitchen."

"Really disappointed with my stay for the price. Really poor room, breakfast was awful and had to pay extra for parking - which i was emailed about the night before my stay and price stated (£6) was incorrect. I paid £7.40 for parking for less than 20 hours. "

"Very basic, in urgent need of renovation, room above was playing loud music till past midnight, no staff to be found in the evening or at checkout, had to leave keys on desk."
