The setting and surroundings are beautiful. The room functional exceptionally clean. The staff helpful and friendly. Linen pristine
The only downside the mattress was uncomfortable.
We were not expecting the world for our two night stay given that this is student accommodation however I do expect the basics; for it to be clean and for the bed to be comfy enough to sleep on. Unfortunately neither of these basic expectations were fulfilled. We arrived late Friday evening to a bed which had clearly not been changed. There was alot of grass and hair in the sheets. Given the 8 and a half hour journey we had undertook to get there we just wanted to sleep and so brushed these off onto the floor and hit the hay deciding to complain and request new sheets in the morning. However we could not sleep as some sort of bugs must have accompanied the grass as we were being bitten every moment we were laid on the bed and this must have been by far the worst mattress I have ever had the displeasure to lie on.
We went to complain just before 6am to the receptionist and ask to see the manager whenever he/she arrived. They took our details and advised someone will be in touch a little after 9am. We could not stay another night and given there were no alternative rooms to switch to we went to check out early at 10am. Again we asked to speak to the manager and again they took our details but apparently the managers were unavailable at the present time. We are still awaiting a callback and they are now refusing all knowledge of the incident when we called them back. We witnessed many issues being raised over the weekend by guests and all were ignored or mismanaged.
Mooie omgeving, goede kamers. Jammer dat er bij de reservering iets fout was gegaan en we de eerste nacht niet in de geboekte kamer terecht konden. Maar dat heeft men verder bij het hotel prima opgelost.
Student accommodation, lot of space, good kitchen good reception who were very helpful. The grounds were amazing, You could spend all day walking in the grounds. The eating places were both student orientated and also in the hotel the restaurant was more up market
Upon arrival we were expecting an apartment (as stated when we booked) which sleeps 8. What we had was a student accommodation flat with a nice kitchen/dining area, however all of the bedrooms are individual so if your planning to sleep with a partner it's a tight squeeze with a low budget mattress.
We were travelling with 3 kids which were looking forward to using the pool as advertised. When we asked for a pool timetable we were told it was undergoing 'annual maintenance'. We understand things like this need to be done, however we would have preferred that we would have been told prior to or even on arrival so that we could warn the kids and not let them down. We expressed our unhappiness regarding this to the reception staff who said 'we will pass the message to the manager'. We expected the manager to at least contact us to apologise for the inconvenience but no one ever bothered.
A morning when we were getting ready, the water completely shut off. When we reported it to the reception they asked if we were sure about it. They then realised we were being serious and it was a major burst pipe and it was fixed after a few hours. We had to ask for some bottled water to make a coffee.
If your planning on staying at the weekend, get ready for a party and be prepared for drunk people knocking on your door at 2:30am. As we had paid for the private flat we didn't expect random people to be able to access through locked doors, especially throughout the night. Again, when we repo
Lovely location, and nice clean, quiet room. Unlike most places, we were unable to check in even a few minutes early - which would have been really nice for two weary red-eye travellers.
We would stay again we all had a wonderful time, the views and accommodation were fantastic. We had the whole floor and a luxury style kitchen/common room with TV and all utensils. The kitchen view was of the William Wallace monument and park gardens with lake, very scenic - unbelievable didn't need the TV on the wall. Children walked to the monument chasing Pokémon's on the way giving us a moment on arrival giving us time to relax. Very safe environment.
Thanks a lot for great opportunity to have chance to stay in so wonderful place in the world.
Nice flat with separate rooms, lovely kitchen which has everything in it, free swimming pool and gym,
and of course beautiful view through the window and fresh air.... great holidays!
