"Sadly the hotel is room only these days room was in good condition and clean a bit old fashion other than that couldn’t fault it . Bathroom was great and nice and clean. Sad there is no bar or restaurant in operation how ever plenty of places to eat with in 10m away.Being a Shrewsbury lad went to plenty of functions and weddings here sad it’s not in full operation . Plenty of parking on site and staff very helpful ."

"Very friendly place although has a lot of steps so not really practical if people have disabilities Breakfast was very nice and we were able to leave the car outside the check in / check out hours so that was great"

"Lovely room. Comfy bed. Toiletries were great. Hairdryer was good & not attached to the wall like some hotels. Shower was a little low pressure but that’s minor. Lovely breakfast. Staff are so friendly. We arrived back at our room after a day out to find a card which was handwritten by the lovely hotel manageress & a box of chocolates for my birthday. Very kind indeed. Great location. Car park was a little tricky to find but we got there in the end ! Will definitely stay here again . Nice hotel ."

"Another enjoyable stay at Darwin. The room was spotless and had a comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. There’s a honesty bar where you can help yourself to drinks and snacks and pay on departure. The hotel is very close to the town centre where there are lots of eating places to choose from. We parked on the St Julien’s Friars carpark which is reasonable priced and just round the corner from the hotel. Would definitely recommend here."

"This has to be the most welcoming bed and breakfast we have stayed in The owners hospitality was second to none. Very friendly hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast choice was excellent and food delicious. Lots of little extras such as all day home made cakes available and the little extras in the rooms such as nail file, sewing kit, water, biscuits, chocolates and a large selection of teas and coffee. Would definitely recommend Antón Guest House"
