"Poor breakfast, poor facilities, bad elevator .."

"Pro: Clean, quiet, black out curtains, decent breakfast. Cons: Arrogant, dismissive, bored reception staff at check in. I felt completely unwelcomed. That should be their job, make you feel welcome, smile. I was treated as I was bothering him, and looked just thrown a form to fill up. The hotel is worn out, ruined carpets on corridors, generally outdated, smells a little funny. I'm traveling a lot been to a lot of other Novotels, different countries, this one is low on the quality ladder."

"Spent 2 days here. Great staff all around and amazing staff that works the breakfast rush on Easter weekend. Location 100% for transportation from trains, rails, and busses. In fact, it was a walkable distance from Holland America terminal to hotel. "

Downsides were noise from the road traffic late at night at the weekend, narrow uncomfortable single beds, soap ran out in the bathroom and was not replaced, TV did not work (said no-one registered in the room).
