Hotels near Statham Retail Centers

"The front desk clerk greeted us warmly and was helpful. Check in was quick. The room was clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. For a motel we were surprised how quiet it was. No noise from traffic or other rooms. No blow dryer which was not an issue just something to note. Bring your own. Breakfast was pastries, bagels, make your own waffle, cereal, fruit, yogurt. Oatmeal packets. Enough to get the day started. If we needed to stay in Athens again we would stay here again. "

"The property smelled like marijuana. When I got up to the 2nd floor there was a seating area with two couches. There was a man, whom appeared to be homeless, asleep on one of them. The bathroom floor was sticky and there was used balled up toilet paper on the floor. "

"Kitchen was not well supplied. No can opener, pizza pan or pizza cutter. Hot water went out last night, so could not shower before leaving. Host never responded to hot water problem. Pool cover had collapsed and was left in disrepair."

"Terry who runs the place goes above & beyond. The home is on such a lovely property. Our large group loved the access to the lake. We were also so thankful for the early check-in & late check-out option. We would come back. Note: internet is not strong, but that’s ok. We didn’t use it for tv or cell phones and instead played games and enjoyed the quiet/porch."
