Garbage breakfast, plastic eggs, no meats, empty potatoes bin. Bugs in the eating area, bugs in shower, wasp nest inside the window screen, rooms badly need remodeled. Will never stay at another Hawthorne
The lady at check in was great. I just have 3 problems. 1. On Expedia the pictures for the room make it look like there is a bedroom and then a separate sitting area. These two rooms were divided by an actual wall in the picture. That wasn't the case in our room. I would fix those pictures. 2. The hanging hand towel and wash cloth right in front of the sink was not changed from the previous guest. There was what looked like men's facial hair all over it. 3. Housekeeping opened our door and every door in our hallway at 5am. I don't like being woken up prior to when I have to. There was no knock or any warning.
The refrigerator was very dirty on the outside. The shower was dirsty, almost looked like oil on the walls.

We had an overall great stay. The evening woman on duty was especially helpful in getting our things into our room as there were no luggage carts. The breakfast was nice and check-out was easy. My only complaint is a personal one in that I booked a room with a bathtub and was given a room with a shower.

We apologize that we were not able to meet your room type request. We had some changes with additional bookings earlier in the day that changed our availability. Room type requests are most often just requests and we aren't always to accommodate them.
Our room was spotless. Breakfast was nice considering Covid restrictions. No complaints

The shower had soap scum around the bottom. From a facilities pony of view the site is sound, just the bathroom could have used some more love.

Moved without cost difference refund
We made the reservation months ahead of time, and a week before the trip, received a call from the hotel saying our room would not be vacated when we arrived, so we were being moved to a Microtel owned by the same property. The Microtel was fine, but we paid MORE to be in THIS hotel than if I had just booked the Microtel to start with. Apparently long-term highway construction workers take precedence over weekend travelers, so don't buy this without ability to be refunded.
We stayed here for only one night however the room had so much room and was very clean. The only strange thing was the door to the bathroom didn't lock, it actually was the closet door that slid over to close the bathroom atea. The bathroom was roomy and nice. Stand up shower only, no tub, but that was fine for what we needed. I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area again.
The room has no bathtub, only shower... which made the hotel not baby friendly. The first room we got was not properly cleaned and the door wasn't even close when we got there. The cleaning staff left the door open after cleaning.... which explains the quality of its cleanness. I could even smell the cologne of whoever stayed there before us. The towels were also old and worn.
I had to wait at the front desk for over 10 mi it’s for someone to help me so I could check in. After a 4 hour drive, that was frustrating. There were hairs all over the bathroom, the sink was filthy and there was dried food on the silverware.
Hotel is clean and very new. Room wasn't large, but comfortable and had a large refrigerator, small stove, microwave, dishes, and flatware. Staff was very friendly and nice. Breakfast was simple but very adequate. Cleaning staff did a great job.

The room was great . However when i booked this room there was supposed to be 2 rooms, 2 people per room. The confirmation that i received showed 2 rooms booked and was charged for 2 rooms. When i arrived at the hotel the clerk said that she only showed that 1 room was reserved and their was not any more rooms available of that kind.. We had to squeeze all of us into 1 room. I am glad the room so so spacious. We were kinda cramped up but not as bad as it would have been if the room was smaller..
Loved our stay there. Great staff. Very hospitable. Pet friendly.
