On our first stay, we were in an apartment on the second floor with a balcony. On our second stay, we were on the 3rd floor with vaulted ceilings and a great view but no balcony. "The Hotel is amazing well prepared. The cleanliness is at the top. The friendly staff is another valuable asset. We strongly recommend this Hotel. However a few tips. As most of the Hotel in old city is not so easy to reach them, even with Google maps, it will take some minutes, you must be patient. Also as it is located in the old city there no elevators and stairs are the only way to have access to the rooms. But the two points below are for all Hotels in the Old City. "

"Wonderful location in old town. Ivan was incredibly friendly and helpful. He sent me a great guide for Split (including restaurant recommendations) and even helped me look at ferry schedules for a day trip. "

"The apartment was nice, well kept and clean. The ammenities provided were excellent and the pool was also a great addition to the property. The hosts were easily contacted and very welcoming. They provided me with a detailed description of the city, sites and beaches to visit. Property is in a great location in terms of its proximity to the beach (<10 min walk), to nearby shops, the bus station and the old town (5-10 min Uber ride). "It is right on the edge of Split old town and just minutes walk from the ferries. The staff was outstanding- friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet was large and delicious— with made to order omelets or egg Benedicts. A wonderful hotel."

"Our room was very cool - clearly thought had gone into the design. Facilities all great. We really liked the communal tea and coffee making - keeps the minimal feel in the room and means they can be high quality and well stocked. Breakfast was convenient and good, the staff nice, really well located. Would thoroughly recommend Up There. "

"Good location but not as depicted on web. Very old bathroom, kitchen basic and not up to today’s standard. Needs a proper mirror not a tiny shaving mirror. Mirror on bathroom cabinet too high to use. Balcony was only a shared terrace and unsuitable for tourists. Light fittings in kitchen and bathroom had no covers leaving wires exposed. We had to request cleaners after 4 days as no towels, tea towels etc."
