I stay often as I am elderly & have a lot of Hospital Visits so my husband who is my Carer lives that this resort is clise to hisputal , has its own restaraunt , beautiful coffee & is ooen from 6.30 am for food.Rooms are comfy our favourite is Superior Room , staff are kind & caring & front desk always upgrades & has disability over toilet frame & shower chsir in room as I am in a wheelchair . We love the pools as well , such a great resort & suits...

"The garden setting and the u shape of the overall resort are lovely. The beach is very close literally metres away. Although the pool and spa are not heated it was still refreshing to have a dip due to the overall warm winter weather. The washing machine and dryer are in the apartment so very convenient. "The room we received did not match the photo at all. Staff were apologetic but management are obviously doing thsi intentionally, hoping that people don't read reviews and knowing that customers have few other options once they have arrived. Room was not made up when we arrived, when we came back we still did not have adequate bedding for 4 people. The extra bed was jammed in with a door handle right where you would usually place your head. Would not recommend."

"All around excellence. Great view of the bay. Short walk to the boardwalk. Easy walk to the pier. Breakfast was great. The staff is just the best. We felt welcomed by everyone and were well taken care of. I recommend the Riley to anyone coming to Cairns."

"Plaza Hotel is in a great location on the Esplanade, but a bit removed from the busiest areas so it is quieter at night. The room was excellent except the bathroom could use an upgrade to lighting (only a couple of overhead lights so hard to see clearly in the mirror and shower). The staff were friendly and helpful. Our ocean view suite had a great view of the water."
