"From the moment we were welcomed at the airport until it was time to depart… we were treated like family. Greeted by our names each morning, Luke, Jerry, Nicky, Lili and all the staff made sure our comfort was their top priority. Navita in the front office made my wife’s dream come true with an upgrade to an over water bungalow! The property was immaculate in cleanliness , maintenance, and decor! We had our own bicycles assigned to us that we used for fun and convenience! Dining each day was a pleasure with a variety on the menu and cooked to perfection. The isolation of this adults only lagoon property was truly a beautiful experience. The beauty of the lagoon speaks for itself and enhanced by kayaking through the crystal clear water to an outer island a short row away! Rest assured…the aitutaki private island resort is all that people say it is! The reviews are accurate and pictures are real. We are blessed to have had this opportunity hope to come again! "We stayed at the Islander Hotel for our last night in Rarotonga before heading back to Australia the following morning on an early flight. Staff were lovely. The room was ok but a few stains on the bed head put me off! Bed was comfortable. There was a t.v in the room but no remote and didn't seem to be working at all. Went across to the restaurant for meals. Good views, food well priced, good entertainment on. The beach bar does play music til around 10.30-11pm so no chance of an early night, although appreciated that they do turn it off at a reasonable time. This hotel is basically across the road for the airport so very convenient for an overnight stay. "
