"It was horrible! Don't trust the online pics or the list of amenities they supposedly have. Cabins are the worst, we rented 5 in our group for a family reunion & all were horrible. We all ended up staying at a ranch half hour away & losing our paid reservation but they really could care less!The getaway cabin which was supposed to be nice, had sewer problems & the smell was gaging! They will tell you its the well water to just run hot water & not only does this not work, you end up with cold...

"I booked 4 of the balcony rooms 9-10 and when I arrived only 3 balcony rooms were available. The 4th balcony room was not available, the resort upgraded the balcony room to a 3 bedroom suite on the 4th floor which is not what I wanted and check in was at 4pm and the room was not ready until 4:45pm. I book 4 balcony rooms for family and expected to have the rooms. My balcony room master bedroom AC was not blowing good air and the room was hot. I went to the front desk they contacted maintenance, all he did was open a vent more that was already open, this did not fix the issue. I had to purchase a fan just to make the bedroom somewhat comfortable to sleep in. The shower and sink were backing up for the 3 days I was there. One person could take a shower then we had to waiting 3 hours for the shower to drain before taking another shower, luckily the suite had 2 showers as I had 3 adults and 1 child in the suite. The other 3 rooms we had were good just had minor issues. My 70 year old mother cut her arm on the suite door, I went to the lobby and asked for a bandage and they told me they would have to contact security to get one. I told them forget it I will just go across the bridge to walmart and buy some. I have stayed at this resort the last 4 years I have been going to South Padre and this was the worst visit to this resport I have had. I like this resort because of the pools and access to the beach but maintenance needs to do a better job. Resort restaurant was great as usual"
