"The breakfast could definitely be much better. I ate yogurt and a boiled egg the first morning, and none of us ate the second morning. There should be more meat and cereal options."

"Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. The room was so spacious and thoughtfully stocked. we loved the kitchen and the view of the city/courtyard from our room. The gameroom was the top attraction for the kids. Just a few notes on what would have made it better and heads up to those with younger kids- the floors are solid concrete and can be slick- the living room rug definitely needs rubber grips— two of our kids slipped on the rug and fell when walking through the living room because it ruffled up. Some of the dishes still had caked food on them from prior guests and some of the in room games were missing several key pieces that didn’t allow the kids to play. Not really anything you can do about this one but the walls are a little thin and you can hear all the delivery trucks in the area in the middle of the night and early morning. We also heard the music of the room next door which wasn’t a problem but there is such an echo it just sounded like it was in our room. Location was central to shopping, several restaurants and the local bus which is free and goes to some of the main tourist attractions (aquarium, Chattanooga choo choo, etc)"

"Stayed at The Read House Hotel and had a great overall experience. Check-in was quick and staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The common areas were inviting with nice private nooks. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and modern but the shower design did get the floor wet easily. The bed was comfortable, but there were no extra linens for the pull out. When we called, they only brought a sheet and couldn’t find a blanket. The pool was clean and nice, but not heated (personal preference) and the waterfall made it pretty loud. Overall, I’d stay again!"

"You get what you pay for…moldy pool, filthy carpet, and 2nd floor hallway had a horrible moldy smell too. We couldn’t use microwave in room bc it couldn’t be plugged up. The only good thing was the black gentleman who worked the lobby. He was very nice and hard working, taking care of guests. On the day of our departure 4/9 the lady setting up breakfast was extremely rude. We will not return "
