Hotel Dekat South Padre Island Community Center

"Exceptional staff. My husband lost his wallet and someone ended up turning it in for us. He had over $200 cash in it and we for sure thought the cash was gone with the wind, however it all turned out to be there. Come to find out later it was one of the house cleaners that found it outside in the lounge area and turned it in for us. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Love this place. Will be there again for sure! "

"Parking was not the best. When I checked in I was told it was for guests only. We had to put a sheet of paper on the dash to show we were staying there. On Friday we went in town and when we got back there was no place to park because they were letting others park there for the day. I will not be returning because of this."

"Room was very clean, staff very friendly, restaurant and bar excellent service , breakfast was good except the waffles they are not freshly made. Yes we do recommend this resort the staff make you feel welcomed . "

"The motel could use an update. Our room was clean but the bathroom was out of date and as a result grout was missing on some tiles. The toilet was functional but again in need of an upgrade. My biggest gripe is with quiet time. Many motel guests seemed to be inconsiderate of others wanting to sleep. This included playing loud music past 1AM from boom boxes and from parked cars with rolled down windows. Also lots of loud talking outside guests doors past 1AM almost every night. "Our first night here we had absolutely no water pressure, and no hot water. I brought my kids with me and we couldn’t bathe them, we couldn’t wash bottles, and we couldn’t shower. They finally fixed it the next day in the late afternoon. The rooms were clean but the towels and bed sheets smelled very weird.
