"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"The bed was really uncomfortable, which was a surprise for a PI, as they pride themselves on the bed comfort. The bar was open late which was great. The parking is small, only 17 spots and you pay for this daily. "

"My husband and I stayed on a Saturday night in November as a birthday treat. We stayed in the loft suite. This room is clean, cosy beautifully decorated. The bathroom is amazing ! We absolutely loved the jetted bathtub. It really was a selling point for us. Breakfast was very nice. Lovely fresh eggs. We enjoyed having our own private dining toom too. Paul was very nice and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you ."

"The room is absolutely fantastic. We stayed in the VIP room and had views of planes landing and would have to walk down the corridor to watch planes taking off. There are only 4 VIP rooms so it’s the luck of the draw what you get. The room is perfect, comfortable, clean, close to departures and literally perfect if you’re flying from the south terminal. You get 20% off at Giraffe or Weatherspoons which is a nice touch. Definitely a nice stay especially travelling with young children, if...

"We have stayed at this Hotel a few times over the last couple of years, staff are always friendly and efficient. I usually ask for a room on an upper floor which have always been quiet, unfortunately we were given a room on the first floor close to the main road, but there was a constant noise in the room (a loud humming) which went on all night, making it difficult for us both to sleep! We were also told at check in that their parking charges have gone up, we were still charged £10 as we'd...

"A relaxing place to stay, with friendly staff."

"Comfy easy access room with walk-in shower, very helpful staff. Surprisingly quiet given it was Eater Saturday night. EV charger parking spot was occupied for many hours by a non-electric vehicle and the adjacent spot occupied by an EV which was not on charge. Staff said they were not responsible for its use."

"Had to exchange numerous e-mails with property to confirm availability and confirmation of adjoining rooms. There was NO housekeeping for the rooms over a 4 day stay, although request cards were left on the door. Had to go to the front desk to request clean towels, bed linens never changed. No refrigerator in room. Safe door was left open in locked position so safe could not be utilized. Interaction with front desk staff OK and accommodating. Breakfast buffet adequate."

"Great place to stay and the owners are wonderful. Rooms are comfortable with loads of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and water. I didnt realise we could park there (for a fee) so I'd already booked parking.It's 5 minutes by cab to Gqtwick and the bus stop for Gatwick is right outside the Farmhouse. I'm sold, we're staying there everytime we fly from Gatwick. Great people to do business with. "
