"Stayed for a night. Room was clean (with shared bathroom) facing main road so for some people it can be disturbing but it was no issue for me. Good location, bus stop only a couple meters away. Easy check-in, very friendly & helpful staff. Can't comment on breakfast as I booked room only but there was option to add it on if i wanted when i checked in (even offered takeaway breakfast option too). I will be happy to book again if in the area in the future again. "

"We enjoyed our stay, the grounds are beautiful and rooms very comfortable. The staff were a bit disinterested and lacked costumer service attention. We made use of the pool which was nice but having to book to use it was unusual."

"Bedroom looked out onto a side street but there was still a good view of the sea from there. Bed was comfortable - very hot though - although I did stay during a very hot week! Bedroom was clean & tidy and included an ensuite bath and shower. Unsure how to turn on light attached to the wall by the telly (could not find mains or light switch) and one of the bedside lamps was not working. This were my only issues though. "Very happy with the hotel.It is situated close the harbour so the views from the bar and dining room are good,it is only a ten minute walk to the town centre.The food is very good no self service at breakfast you are served at the table.The staff are excellent "

"The Ship & Castle have a very welcoming team who looked after us very well. It’s right opposite the quayside, with temporary parking opposite the entrance Laos for unloading your luggage and then just a few minutes walk from the main car park. "The grounds are spectacular and an easy walk to the beach. The staff were great especially Gerard. Room and ensuite bathroom nice. Dinner service the one night we ate there was extremely slow, but I suspect there was an issue in the kitchen that day and that was not the norm. We spent 2 nights there and I could have easily stayed longer! Thank you."
