"Great hotel. Have been coming for years for an annual birthday night out with a group of friends. Guy at reception was very friendly, especially as we were concerned we may not be able to park there as no space, but did manage to in the end. Hotel is great...not the most modern, no, but homely and rooms have always been spacious, clean and welcoming. The bar/club is great for a night out. Would definitely recommend. Very close to town centre and beach too. Well done Royal Exeter!"

"Like some other reviewers on here, I was a bit wary of what to expect after reading some of the other reviews, but in reality, we received a warm welcome from the reception staff, and booking a standard plus room gave us a room with a sea view. Although there was no air-conditioning, having three sash windows in the room meant that we had air flowing through the room, and so despite it being one of the hottest weekends of the year, we were able to sleep comfortably. "Fantastiskt hotell, rekommenderas! Det var rent och fräscht samt trevlig personal, bra in- och utcheckning. Strykjärn och hårtork på rummet. Ligger nära till strandpromenaden och Brighton Centre, ca 3 min gång. Shopping center och andra mysiga gator ca 5 min. Järnvägsstationen ca 15 min gång."

"Great nights sleep in room 104. Surprisingly quiet for a ground floor room next to the car park. The fridge in the room is also really handy. Couldn’t fault it and would definitely recommend/stay again."
