"No. 5 Valley Lodge was one of the most memorable places I stayed in China. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, tucked into the mountains with a very calm, nature-focused atmosphere. It feels much more special than a normal hotel because the whole property has a sense of place — quiet paths, greenery, mountain views, and a slower rhythm that makes it feel like a real escape. The staff were also extremely kind and thoughtful. One of the highlights was the tea experience: the tea master was generous, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel personal rather than touristy. She even prepared calligraphy pieces and shared tea with genuine care, which made the stay feel much more meaningful."

"Incredible views of the mountains, amazing sunrise view, great breakfast and service. Special shout out to Kim for translating everything for us and helping us navigate the area. Everyone of the stuff was super helpful and made us feel welcome. They helped us book the excursions such as the avatar mountains & Tianmen mountain. Gave us all the necessary information and gotcha that made our experience really enjoyable."

"The room was beautiful with an amazing view. The staff was beyond nice and accommodating. They even spoke English. The food was ok. The french toast was really good. Only comment I would have is for the kitchen to serve one table at the same time. We had two occasions where we already finished diner while our daughter was still waiting for her food. But don’t let that hold you back. Amazing place!"
