First and foremost, the views along the river are breathtaking. The other thing we found attracted to the property was that it was completely cut off to the rest of the area as far as traffic population, etc. Highly recommend and will be coming back in the future.

This was the perfect place for a quick 2 night mini-honeymoon after our wedding. The grounds and River House were beautifully kept. We rented a little EV cart to explore and it was the best decision, we really loved roaming around through the woods and taking in the beautiful scenery. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, the staff was very kind and helpful. My only wish is that there were options onsite for dinner and drinks at the cute little bar, but I understand the demand is likely not high enough for a Sunday/Monday evening stay, so it makes sense. Highly recommend the Morris Estate, would love to come back and stay with a few other couples!

Second stay - wonderful again

Such a lovely place to stay, not too far from Notre Dame (25 mins or so. About 20 from airport). Very tasteful, comfortable, beautiful location, wonderful service, quiet. Big, well decorated rooms. We’ve been here twice and we were pleased both times!

A Hidden Gem

We stayed at the River House at the Morris Estate for three nights with friends. It’s an amazing place and was absolutely gorgeous. It is a hidden gem in Niles, Michigan. We had a beautiful, clean suite overlooking the river. We spent lots of time at the outside fire pit and the fireplace inside and also walked the many trails on the estate. The breakfasts were delicious and every employee we met was kind, friendly and informative. We plan to return next year!

First visit to Morris Estate

They room was very nice. Clean with upgrades and decorated with ferrier decor, very clever. We enjoyed the deck and the view. We also walked on the drive back to the River house. It was getting late so we did not walk the trails, but we saw deer and one fearless fawn! We decided when we come back, we will try the River house, since it is in the woods and we would be more likely to walk the trails. Our only complaint is the room was cold and we did no figure out how to raise the temperature. I highly recommend the Morris Estate.

Beautiful place for retreat or a getaway if you like countryside . River st joe and forest with good hotel facility .the breakfast is excellent and the breakfast area overlooks the river - very tranquil !!! They also have a separate gym close to the check in area .
