"We stayed one night in the main floor suite on our way to a place by Denali park. Very roomy and comfortable. Beautiful setting with the river just a hundred feet or so from the room. We wished we had spent all 4 of our nights here - the park is about 90 minutes away and an easy drive. Plenty to do around Talkeetna and though pretty rustic the area has plenty of dining options. Front desk closes at 5 so this is not a full service hotel but we thought it was great. Very well maintained. Limited groceries in the area - a small market with liquor, snacks and some groceries. So bring food if you expect to cook your meals."
