The woman who owns it grew up there and has so many fascinating stories to share about the house. "The Águamel is a quaint and unique place to stay while in Sintra, hidden away from the main tourist noise. At least that was how it was for us when we stayed in February. Of course, any stay is only as good as the other guests who share the hotel with you. The breakfast was lovely, albeit a tad later (served at 9) than we would prefer. The selection of food was plentiful and very yummy. The staff very kind. "
