Overall excellent location and a great hotel, the only criticism of our room was lack of hanging rails/hooks in the bathroom. There was no provision for placing clothes, robes or towels. Otherwise all good, really appreciated the welcome drinks and complimentary drinks, snacks and chocolate provided in the fridge.

Good location close to Arab Street and not too far from the MRT. Despite being in a busy street the room was quiet. It wasn't quite the boutique hotel we expected, 'The Attic Room' was a whole floor of rooms and we were lucky to change from our first room which was damp due to a housekeeping mishap. Had trouble with hot water throughout our stay but the room was otherwise comfortable. Very helpful staff.

Beautiful hotel and big room for 4 of us. Teenager kids love to walk up the slightly steep stairs to the loft bed which is very comfortable. Room is clean except for the area on top of the curtain railing. Shower foam and shampoo are fragrant and are great to use but area around the bottle holders needs to be maintained a little bit. We stay near the lift so we can hear music from the live band at night, which we enjoyed thoroughly by the way so no complains there. However, there will be traffic noise which tous are still ok. Nearby there are plenty of food options and we had zam zam and French American bakery for their delicious food! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will visit again soon!

My first stay in this hotel was in a very nice room, but when i stayed here again on the way back, i had to pay 30% more for a much inferior room. While the room was mostly clean, it was far from spotless, and the bathroom had extremely loud squeeks waking up everyone when going into the shower. If the price is right, this is probably a fine deal, but not worth the premium rate they charged.

A hidden gem! Such a beautiful hotel. Staff was accomodating and helpful. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and is walkable distance from Haji Lane and Kampong Glam. You will regret it for 1000 years if you don't book this hotel

Affordable hotel for a weekend stay. No gym, pool etc but again that's fine for a quick weekend. Room itself was comfortable and clean. There was a party happening and it was pretty loud but we were exhausted and manage to tune to noise out.

Great hotel in Kampong Glam area located near lots of restaurants and shops. It's close enough to the MRT for trips all over the city however it was a bit of a trudge with our luggage from the closest MRT station. Overall the property was tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful. It can be a bit noisy if your room faces the road so earplugs are helpful.

I would stay again.
We stayed in the Puteri room. It was exactly like we saw in the picture - once we opened the shutters and the large drapes. Our room was stylish and romantic. This is an older hotel in a historical area of town. There are many new highrise hotels in the area but we chose this for the charm of the historical building and we were not dissapointed. The bed was very comfortable. There was lots of room for luggage. The bathroom was small and the lighting in the bathroom was good overall however for putting on makeup it could have been better. There was no full length mirror which would have been practical but we were fine without it. The Big Bus hop-on hop off bus stop was just outside the front entrance which was practical. The subway station was about a 5 minute walk, not far from the hotel. There were tons of restaurants nearby in the Arab quarter. The hotel does have a bar and restaurant but it was opened only later in the day/evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived in the morning after an early morning flight. The hotel kindly stored our bags until we returned after the rooms were ready. I will stay there again next time I’m in Singapore.

While we were looking forward to our stay, there were a few missing elements that left us wanting. For example, though the room was non-smoking, a strong smell of smoke permeated the room and furniture which was off-putting. The bathroom could also have been cleaner and larger. It is a beautiful, heritage property with a lot of potential, but a distinct lack of maintenance is holding it back.

The room could've been better designed. Bathroom - at least ours - was tiny, plus the door had a self-closing hinge which was a bother. Both bar and restaurant were deserted; and the restaurant did not look anything like in the web fotos...more like a cafeteria. Needs an update or something. Location, near Arab Str was excellent bc there was a lot to talk to in terms of shopping and eating.

Very much enjoyed staying at this hotel. Close to restaurants, shops, MRT stations. Best value for money for hotels in Singapore that are generally expensive. The room size is bigger than other hotels with similar price. Very clean and staff is very helpful and friendly.
