"Good communal area for children and staff were pleasant. However there was a very strong unpleasant smell thoughout the hotel and in the rooms. There was also large stains on the carpet in the hallways which were wet - we assume they had been recently cleaned. Breakfast was ok - however they had ran out off pastries when we attended at 9.30. Overall unlikely to stay again due to cleanliness/smell. "

"This is a fantastic spot off the beaten track about 30 mins from Wrexham The room was very clean and a decent sized bath with high pressure shower as well Tea and coffee facilities in the room which were regularly topped up when we needed Bed was extremely comfortable and room was spacious and warm. Plenty of car parking on site The pub itself was beautifully laid out and had a lovely atmosphere And a continental was offered each morning 2 things of special mention that really stood out 1 the home made pies were absolutely incredible and full of flavour seriously one if the best pies i have had in years 2 the staff The staff went above and beyond they really looked after us Special mention to Shannon who i would hire as my own front of house any day The stay was so good we booked an extra night last minute Thank you Shannon and the rest of the team for a amazing stay When we are back in the area we wpuld definitely stay again "

"The hotel was as always clean and tidy with very polite and helpful staff. The only problem was with the swimming pool and spa area . The pool was very dirty and the jacuzzi was broken apparently broken for a while . This said it is still exceptionally good value and the first time of a few visits that the pool has been below standards. We will definitely go again . "
