"Staff excellent. Setting beautiful. We stayed in the old house which had real charm, but was a little tired. Beyond the historic house is a conference centre, with spa. We ate an evening meal in the 1744 restaurant which was well priced and very tasty. "

"No curtains in the room, just ill-fitting roller blinds, it felt a little like a youth hostel rather than a hotel room. The iron we asked for covered my white shirt in black gunk (my fault for not checking the plate but disappointed staff would give out such rubbish). Extractor fan in bathroom broken, very uncomfortable old soggy mattress. Staff were lovely, breakfast average, quiet overall in the rooms. "

"Room basic which was fine we didn’t expect it to be amazing. Bed really comfortable. Needs a new tv and a lot of mould round the shower. Room was quite dusty in places. Breakfast was ok standard hotel buffet. Pool was lovely to unwind. Staff on reception amazing very friendly "
