Hotel Dekat Shijo Kyo Machiya

"This is a great spot for a group visiting Kyoto"

"This place is worth the splurge! It's beautifully hidden and away from the main street, making it feel like you're stepping into historical Kyoto. It's a cozy apartment that has luxury, modern amenities, like an open air bath, great bedrooms (both western and traditional) and lovely rain-style shower, and a minimalistic living room. We only stayed one night, but we will plan to stay at least two to three next time!"

"Location was great. Close to transport and a selection of terrific restaurants. Genuine Japan 'feel' about the premise."

"Excellent hotel, highly recommended. It has everything you need."

"Amazing stay! Perfect location! Clean and comfortable. Will stay here again 100%."

"Loved the hotel and location."

"I really want to highlight how helpful the staff was, they really made our stay the best. Also the rooms were a very good size with lots of space and rooms were always clean."

"Staff were lovely and such a great location from centre of Kyoto"

"Was very hesistant about the location when we first got there at night. Walked through narrow streets without space when cars around. Almost thought about finding somewhere else for remaining days. Much different experience after exploring the area in the daytime. Stopped at the bakery next door daily. Easy access to city buses. Slight walk to train station. Only 12 rooms overall. Room very spacious for Japan standards and also had a large soaking tub and shower area. Very kind and courteous...

"Great place for families!"

"The hotel staff were all nice. They are very friendly and helpful. It is well maintained because it is a small hotel . The room was spacious and nicely decorated. I would stay again ."

"Book this hotel early. Amazing location on the train line, room was so clean and pretty. No breakfast, but plenty nearby."

"La chambre était démesurément grande et bien pensée! Un vrai bonheur. L’accueil très chaleureux cela fait du bien d’avoir des gens en face et pas des machines pour s’enregistrer ! Le petit déjeuner de style japonais était très copieux."

"The staff were very nice and helpful. My luggage was accidentally sent to another location, and they helped coordinate everything to make sure it was delivered to the right place. Really appreciate their help!"

"The check in location is really inconvenient, they should make the prices completely online"
