Lovely staff and an excellent breakfast. It's a beautiful old building - the room decoration is.... quirky, but I suppose it makes it memorable! The only issue we had was that the road was fairly noisy (it's an A road), but it quietened down after about 11pm.
We were welcomed on arrival by very attentive but not in your face staff and shown our wonderfully quirky room. Everything was spotlessly clean and our hosts had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Each room is decorated differently and artistically has ‘wow’ factor. As for the food……… absolutely delicious, lots of interesting flavours, and beautifully presented and hot!! In fact instead of venturing out in the local area for dinner on each night we stayed here and worked our way through the menu!! We were delighted with that decision!! Our food was served by amazing staff
and offered advice if needed. In all a perfect few days away was spent at this fantastic hotel. A huge thank you to all concerned.
PS . Meeting Pegasus the donkey was a delight, he’s adorable!!
Friendly staff and food in the restaurant was great. Room needs a more thorough clean. No blackout blinds/curtains and lots of traffic going past in the morning, so we were woken early.
This place was truly amazing, I was staying for one night as part of cycling Lands End to John o Groats, there was somewhere safe to store my bike , the food was amazing, the room was quirky and comfortable and the staff were very friendly also the dog Fred was so lovely, would definitely recommend 👍
Friendly, helpful staff.
Clean room with very comfortable bed and hot bath/shower.
The bar restaurant area is wonderfully historic and very atmospheric.
The menu is superb and the bar has a good selection of real ales.
All in all a very pleasant place to stay.
This was an unexpected find, where we had a really pleasant night's stay. The room was a perhaps a little tired but it in no way detracted from our enjoyment of the place and we'd definitely come back. The staff were lovely, dinner in the evening was excellent and the bar area was very welcoming with an excellent choice of real ales.
The staff were outstanding! Catered for all my needs. Check in was smooth and with a warm welcome. As I was travelling alone, they took exceptional care of me. Thank you.
We found the hotel in need of a facelift. It was very historic but the decor in the bedrooms hadn’t been changed in years. Not suitable for elderly or disabled as no lift. The bed was a joke very high and not particularly comfortable. The landing to our room had torn wallpaper and was really scruffy. The male cleaner was a lovely man and did a good job of cleaning our room. We found the breakfast really oily and only had toast on the second morning. We had one evening meal that was satisfactory but went out the next evening. It is in a beautiful area and not too far from Bridgnorth.

It is a 'quirky' older hotel with some nice features. Our room was decorated with purple wallpaper covered with pink hearts and had a plastic flower covered swing in the middle of the room. The bed was very high and quite hard to get in or out of. A small stool would have been useful. Some of the other rooms appeared to be very small. On the plus side the building is old (how many centuries?) with lots of character. The food in the pub was excellent - both the included breakfast and the optional dinner and definitely worth going to just for the food. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Bridgenorth is a lovely nearby town, well worth a visit.

Disliked: Room comfort
Not bad
The staff are lovely. That’s why it’s 3 stars.
Family room is small unlike the fisheye pictures. When we got there, the room smells like the pub food. Amenities not great and breakfast is poor for vegetarians, 1 egg very oily and small plate.
Nothing around the hotel to have a walk.
It’s not bad but I wouldn’t stay there next time I’m in Telford.
The photos on the site and the reviews on the internet were a trigger to book this hotel and we weren’t disappointed to say the least.
After a very warm welcome we got into the room which was exactly as we hoped for, a four poster bed , a bathroom with a good shower and bath and even a swing set.
The herb garden is a must see.
This hotel is a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend this to everyone.
The people who work there are most friendly and very helpful when needed.
I can imagine that it’s getting very warm during hot summers, no airco in the room. The street is pretty noisy as well.

Stayed at the Hundred House Hotel with our in-laws to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
Great service upon check-in and we both received free room upgrades.
We’d booked an evening meal before arrival and the food was of an excellent quality but quite pricey. It was a-la carte and deserved the great online reviews I’d seen.
Hotel was very nice, though the in-laws did struggle alittle with the stairs to their room, as no lift.
The rooms were both very nice with 4 poster beds and were nice and clean. One room was large with a small tv, the other room was smaller with a large tv.
We ended up swopping rooms with our in-laws as they would have struggled getting into/out of the high panelled bath. Breakfast each morning was excellent with a selection of juices, cereals, and full cooked breakfast if required.
Most mornings a table for 4 had been laid out ready for us, but a couple of days we had to take plates, cutlery etc from other tables to make up four dining places.
The hotel is proud of its garden and locally sourced food as well they might be.
All in all, we were very happy with the hotel, staff and quality of food.
Quirky and a little tired but most certainly worth a visit. Friendly and attentive staff, large room and great food. Overall excellent value for money & will visit again soon.
