"WHAT a discovery! I loved my stay at Canalside -- the room was beautifully updated, but still had those historic squeaky wooden floors that remind everyone to be a little quieter (it worked!). "The elevators were not fully functional with some completely out of commission which made the beginning of my stay slow and frustrating where I was late for a dinner and show reservation. I understand that sometimes technical issues arise but the staff DID NOT disclose this information upon my check in and when I called the front desk from the elevator lobby on my floor, they again did not disclose these issues and simply said the elevators "are slow today". "This was a great hotel for families. The furniture was sturdy and easy to clean and the view was stunning. The kids loved being able to see the falls and the nightly fireworks. The pool was a great amenity, however it was rather dark since the windows were covered. One downside was all the extra fees and breakfast not included. But the staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms well stocked with pillows, soaps and towels."

"We saved some money and went for a lower floor (4th). Probably a mistake. There are serious issues with check in, every day at 4 there were people all over the lobby waiting for their rooms to be ready. Ours wasn’t ready on time so we couldn’t take our things up before our appointment. The hallway carpet is absolutely disgusting and smelled of cat pea. Water all over the floor in the ice room and an old tv box shoved beside the machine. There was trash sitting in the hallway outside of rooms...

"The owner was not a very friendly person, I went to the office the second morning to ask him how I put my air conditioner on and he just told me there is a thermostat on the wall, end of story. I was fortunate enough to run into the cleaning lady who was talking to a gentleman outside, I told him where I had gone, she asked if I needed help, she came to my room showed me how to turn it on and set it, waited a minute to make sure it was good then left. The room was a below average the lamps...

"It is a great location but is on the older side. The price was not worth it. Next time we will spend slightly more for the more luxurious hotels. It was not half the price, it was only slightly cheaper when we booked. At least it was clean."

"L'accueil a été très courtois. Le déjeuner était très bien. Cependant, l'accès à la télé n'était pas très agréable. On a du demander de l'aide pour la mettre en service à notre arrivée et le lendemain on a eu le même problème. Aussi, vous devriez ajouter ce qu'il faut pour se faire du café dans la chambre. "We just loved the location of this hotel! The staff was extremely patient and accommodating!"

"We were at the back of the hotel on floor 1 right by the rear exit. The door was constantly being slammed as people went in and out and there is no noise dampening, it echos so loud into the room. We couldn't sleep at all and ended up leaving in the middle of the night. Manager called us back and is giving us less than half what we paid for the room, and kept trying to tell us that we're light sleepers. The hotel itself is decent and the location is great.
