This hotel is great if you are attending an event at Shenzhen Exhibition Centre and the Wong Tee Mall is within walking distance, food and shopping are easily accessible and available. It is located close to the subway station. The building is shared with commercial offices, the room is quite big but furnishing is dated and needs some updating.

Good stay
The location of the hotel is great, room is comfortable. Close to a shopping center, and there are different types of food around. It is also in a rather central position of Shenzhen, that means shorter commute time for many different places through the subway system, with one station directly underneath it.

Great location with a smell issue
I've stayed in the hotel for 7 days. the breakfast is good. the hotel location is very good. The bathroom is very small with major issue for large/oversize persons. The hotel smells not good... I don't know the reason but something is not well.

Please contain the first smell at around lift lobby and passage way carpet. The carpet at walk way must have have with shampoo cleaning. After that the hotel will be given 5 / 5 points.

Shenzhen Futian stay
The hotel is located in a good area and is reasonably clean and well appointed. 2 main areas need to be improved - 1. The in room safe needs to be upgraded to electronic and no more than 2-step operation; 2. No boxed issues in the bath room. Cheers

nothing fantasic of this hotel except the location is directly near the subway. Hotel have no pool or proper gym facilities. interenet is slow for business uses.

Surprisingly old for a new building
The description is incorrect: - The building photo does not include any of the surrounding buildings. - The hotel is in the annex building (15 floors maximum), not the tower (the description says 53 floors). - The photos of the guest rooms are probably only the luxurious versions, as my standard room was much smaller, dirtier and did not have the amenities as shown in the photo. I requested a 'renovated room', as suggested by a previous reviewer. I did not get this. I requested 'high floor', assuming it was in the tower - so instead I got the top floor of the annex (15th floor). The bathroom is simple, has a showerhead that is too low and it looks old. There is mould on the ceiling and mirrors have corrosion marks. The carpet in the hall of the 15th floor consists of cut out pieces simply laid on the floor randomly (as if they are temporary).

Stay was fine. Room is very small but clean. Location is not the greatest. Breakfast layout was very good, but had to pay over and above cost of room. I guess you get what you pay for

Good hotel, accessible by train.
On reaching building Golden Central Tower, had some trouble finding the hotel lobby. Finally realized it was on the 6th floor of the complex. Not obvious from the hotel address. Anyway, check-in was smooth. Hotel room I chose doesn't have window (cheapest available) but more than decent enough for me. Most crucial part was that the metro station is just below the building and the station is just 2 stops away from Hong Kong border. Very convenient indeed. Huge mall across the road for shopping and dining was also a welcome feature.

Hotel in central Shenzhen
Great location for central Shenzhen. There is a walkway to the Exhibition Center subway station under the hotel. The exhibition center is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and there are several shopping centers close by. The hotel itself is okay with the suite a good size with an extra desk and large bed. We stayed on the 6th floor with was unfortunately under a restaurant. This was very noisy one night with the staff dragging furniture across the floor keeping us up. The hotel responded reasonably quickly to the issue.

No complain, was all good. The location map should update to as getting off from the Metro MTR at Exhibition and Convention Centre Station, exit D. I got off a station before at Shopping Park station. Although it stated in the description, for new travellers, we need the map to know the exact location. Other than that, it was a convenient place and you don't even need to go else where to shop or eat as the area there are more than you need. The rooms are old and I personnally do not like windowless room.. Only way is to upgrade your room booking. When i extended another 2 days, I was pleasantly surprised that the rate was same as internet booking basing on my original booking thru Hotel.com. I like most is the very competitive pricing, simple, fast and sure way of booking thru your website as compare to others that I tried before. Can be sure I'll con't to book thru your efficient Hotel.com.

No English Spoken at this Centrally Located Hotel
The price was right and the location is great but none of the staff spoke English , I had tried to communicate with several different desk clerks , the concierge and the assistant manager - I was asking to have my phone turned on in my room and people could not understand what I was asking. The room was OK for the price , clean and nice but it lacked a window which was bothersome at first but for the price could not complain. The internet was spotty , had to restart my computer 4-5 times and reboot the plug in internet to work since it dropped often.

IT WAS AN COMFORTABLE STAY IN GOLDEN CENTRAL HOTEL, THE CONNECTIVITY OF HOTEL IS EXCELLENT AND ALL THE HOTEL FACILITIES WERE GREAT. METRO WAS JUST UNDER THE HOTEL BUILDING. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GET INTO THE LIFT AND PRESS -2 TO GET TO THE METRO. WHICH WAS TOO TIME SAVING AS WELL AS MONEY SAVING TO. AND THANKS TO HOTELS.COM FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL DEAL. HAD A GREAT TIME THERE WITHOUT ANY INCONVENIENCE .

It was a nicely located hotel. Just above the train station. However Rooms were old. and Bed is is small. I booked the Business Suite which was suppose to be over 500Sqft but the room feels less than 400Sqft. Water Pressure for the shower were also weak.

Great Location
We always stay there as it is close to Coco Park and the nightclubs.The rooms are a bit smelly and in need of some deodoriser. Shower door leaks and it ends up with a pool when you get out of the shower. Perhaps there are not many westerners that stay there as never any coffee in the rooms. Normally in other hotels the tea/coffee is free but always a charge. These are small things but overall it's ok.

Its a nice Chinese style hotel in central Shenzen
The reception is quite slow, but not so bad if you have pre booked. The hotel is central and very close to the exhibition centre. The beds are quite comfortable and perhaps a little hard for most people. The room rates are very competitive

Overall stay is very good, better than what I have expected. Staff are very courteous and patient after we cancelled two bookings in the same hotel. First booking was cancelled due to a storm, the other booking was cancelled due to a cancelled meeting, thanks Weber.

Excellent value and high quality
This looks like a posh hotel that would cost a lot more but it was actually very good value. Only one problem and that was that their shuttle from the airport stops at 2200 and our flight arrived at 2300, but that's a minor gripe since a bus and taxi transfer is easy. We had a great stay here and would definitely stay again if in Shenzhen.

Nice surprise!
We did not plan on staying in Shenzhen but could not get train tickets to our home town and were forced to stay the night. We used Hotels.com to locate and book the hotel. It was pretty nice in every way and even had a REAL soft bed instead of a box spring like we are used to sleeping on in China. Our only complaint is that a 4 star hotel forced us to pay extra in order to have a room with a window! We live in China and travel extensively and this is definitely one of the nicer hotels we have used on mainland China!

2 things are important to me.
I believe this is 1 of those building projects where the project owner went bankrupt, a new project owner took over and re-purposed the building. I'm not sure but I think this was originally meant to be small square footage investment properties. The room is so-so but it's clean and the surrounding area appears safe. The hotel elevator rides to the basement level which connects directly to the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center metro station so it is very convenient. Also connected via the metro station is the Link City Underground Shopping Mall and the Central Walk Shopping Mall. There're just plenty of good restaurants in this malls. 2 metro lines intersect at this location (within the same station) and so this is a great location for visiting other Shenzhen attractions.

very good place for family vacation
we ordered a business suite at this hotel and stayed there three nights. at first I found that the room they arranged for us was not really a "business suite", so I contacted the staff. They changed room for us immediately. The suite has a big king bed and a single bed (not small at all) . The two beds are not in the same room. My parents used the king bed and I had my own "bedroom". I was so happy we both had our privacy on vacation. I particularly liked my "bedroom", because there was a big window, through which I had very good view. Plus a wardrobe!The location was so good that we could just take elevator down to take subway, for the hotel was basically built on top of a subway station! many restaurants and shops around. I think it's so lucky for us to find such a good hotel at such good price during the Chinese New Year.

This is my second stay at this hotel; this time was much worse. Floor Six is the hotel lobby and the hall for “better rooms.” Unfortunately across from the better rooms are the no-window rooms (on the interior of the building.) Expect the guests in the no-windows rooms to keep their doors open most of the time. You will overhear their conversations/arguments/phone calls/etc. and inhale their second-hand smoke. Floor Six is also kitchen access for the hotel breakfast area (just outside in the lobby.) You may not oversleep on Floor Six. The hotel staff start screaming in the hallway and slamming doors around 6AM.

a Chinese business hotel …it’s not the Ritz
Golden is an old-style Chinese business hotel. like night and day reversed. literally. CAUTION: The cheapest rooms do not have windows. I booked a room with a window only to find the window faces the interior “courtyard” [read: gap between the building’s towers]. My window received no morning light and little light throughout the remainder of the day. Down the hall was an office/dorm room— a small company rents rooms as their offices and typical of small Chinese companies the staff live there too. These three employees kept the door open at all times to get some fresh air from their chain smoking. I complained at the hotel front desk and was politely and promptly moved to another room this one with an exterior view. I think the hotel staff are quite familiar with my complaint. My second room is outside facing and very well lit …very brightly lit well into the night by two massive LED billboards across the street. This room had hotel guest neighbors (not offices.) These neighbors —both sides— kept their TVs on with the volumes set to 11 twenty-four hours per day. Despite the hall be labeled “No Smoking” one of my neighbors was smoking in the room and my room caught a lot of it. like the title says: a Chinese business hotel Free Internet! If you need to be in Central FuTian but want to save money and are comfortable in Chinese business hotels then Golden Central is a can do it. If you need a Western experience stay next door at the Sheraton or Ritz.
