This was a real find. Beautiful building. Ridiculously friendly and accommodating staff and totally beautiful rooms. Comfy bed and breakfast was delicious. Can’t rate this place highly enough.

Very welcoming staff. Lovely building and a lovely room. Not only a kettle in the room but a coffee maker as well. A very big and very comfortable bed - such a good night’s sleep.

Comfy and well appointed room and convenient to stroll down stairs for a decent evening meal. Restaurant and bar very busy and staff working hard. We were in no hurry so not an issue for us.

Great place
I stayed overnight, the staff were all lovely, very welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely, beautifully decorated and full of little extras that made for a great stay at a great price. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Great place to stay
We have just returned from a short stay at The Florentine where we had an excellent stay. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, the room was immaculately clean, very spacious and included dressing gowns, high end refreshments and toiletries which is a really nice touch. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed the well presented, tasty food. We look forward to visiting Sheffield again and will definitely stay at the Florentine again.

Lovely stay, staff all very attentive and helpful. Also a great location for me as my daughter is a student and staying at Ranmore which was literally a few minutes walk so she joined me for dinner and breakfast. Only thing I would say was the bathroom smelt a bit damp which may have been the drains and the bed and pillows could have been a bit comfier but I am a fussy sleeper, so it was fine overall and I will definitely stay again.

My daughter and I stayed two nights at the Florentine, the safe are happy and nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are lovely, the food is good and we really relaxed and enjoyed our stay. Would love to go back again.

Great stay whilst visiting family.
Great welcome from staff when we booked in. Our room was brilliant. Breakfast was very good.

Have stayed before and will stay again
Overall a really nice stay. Have stayed before and will stay again. This time I had a room at the front and away from the kitchen which i much preferred.

Found the staff friendly & very help. We asked if they could bring our young grandson his meal quickly as he was hungry ; this the staff promptly did along with a smile .

Great pub with parking and food available. Room was lovely with robes, toiletries, free refreshments (water, tea, coffee and delicious cookies!). Taxis to get around Sheffield were easy to book and affordable, although the pub is close to the bus route and walkable to other shops and pubs nearby. Booked through Expedia who sold us a room for 3 adults that was only meant for 2 adults and a child. Thankfully the hotel honoured the booking.

Top Class
Hands down the best most comfortable, homely hotel I've stayed in, in the UK. I can't rate it highly enough. Will 100% stay again in the near future. Bar and food also fantastic

Wasnt impressed.
I wasnt a lover if im honest. I was in a family room, yet the kitchen extractor didnt turn off until 11.30pm so there would be no way children or adults will be able to sleep before then, I can only describe it as a loud noise constantly, wasnt even drowned out by ear plugs. Expect to also be woken at 7am by the same industrial extractor noise. Additionally none of the windows opened, they were screwed shut. I am presuming this is because: 1. To prevent kitchen smells from the kitchen underneath coming to much into the room, 2. Maybe stop children climbing out? Overall i wasnt impressed, I may give it another go but wouldnt want to be in the family room above the kitchen ever again.

Good AfternoonApologies that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. Unfortunately we cannot relocate the extraction system and we need it on for the functionality of the kitchen .The windows is a safety aspect with being above the extraction unit.If you would like to try us again let us know and we will make sure your in a different room.

Walking Base
Base for walking in the Peaks. Wanted to stay and dine in same place. This worked perfectly.
