"I have been staying at Umbi since 2008 and it’s still my fav. Place in Sharm El Sheik. Authentic, low key, clean and with the most beautiful sea, corals and fishes right at your doorstep. Nevertheless it’s sad to see a massive harbor is being built and it will destroy this natural paradise! Let’s collect firms and stop it! "

"Overall, we had a nice stay.
The room and the bathroom were huge and were cleaned regularly.
The AC however, didn't work very well, especially during nighttime (our friends who were staying on the same floor, but in a different unit had the same issue). We could not get the temperature below +22 C on some of the nights, so getting good sleep was not always easy.
The food was fine overall, however, we expected more variety of fish and seafood at the main restaurant.
It was difficult to get a reservation at certain a la carte restaurants (I was determined and came to relations desk 3 times during the stay, so I got mine) - you can make it for only 3 days in advance. Then some of them are not as good as expected and service feels rushed (we had such experience at Mangal and Brazilian). Asian and Turkish were amazing - both food and service.
Coffee was delicious (I drink black, my husband and in-laws - latte), especially across the street from the beach bar's entrance.
Entertainment was great. Hardworking and talented!
I know, it's not the warmest season (mid-Feb), so water in all the pools was ice cold, except one heated pool in front of the reception building, so everyone tended to stay there, so getting a vacant spot was not always easy.
Service was overall good, we haven't noticed any special treatment after tipping staff however :))

"Being a frequent visitor to Sharm, I was surprised at how small the hotel is compared to others I have stayed at in. However it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Plus points:
Spacious room, hot poweful shower, comfortable bed, friendly attentive staff. Choice of pool areas depending on preference for quiet or lively.
Negatives:
Swim up rooms are not as pictured on website. You cannot actually swim up and the terraces are very shady only getting sun after 3pm which makes them unusable.
Rooms near the beach road (I was 1401) are pretty noisy from the constant rumble of the shuttle bus blaring out the Macarena and other party tunes between 8am to 11pm.
The gym is ill equiped for ladies with no dumbells or selection of light weights.
Limited food choices but the quality of what was available was good.
That said the positives definately outweigh the negatives and I would happily return."
"It was okay. However we had an issue when booking the taxi for Dahab. The taxi driver told us to withdraw cash at the ATM, which we did but then refused to take us to Dahab and told us to pay at reception. Reception said they wont accept the egyption currency as they only accept euros which makes no sense. The taxi driver then argues with reception after overcharging us to take us to Dahab because he simply did not want to in arabic. Instead of apologising for the inconvenience, the reception staff started being rude to me and blaming me that its my fault I wanted to go to Dahab, that I wont get in as I need visa. I found this so rude and disrespectful. Bare in mind, I asked them for change as I was going to pay the taxi driver over by 20 EGP and the reception staff said “that’s nothing.” It was unbelievable. Instead of offering customer service and apologising, i was being blamed and honestly being scammed by the taxi service. I dont reccomend this place and I wont be staying here again, I’m unsure why it is 5*s when it’s really not, it’s 3* at most. Even housekeeping was atrocious, there was no dental kits in the bathroom and we waited for 90 minutes for it to be delivered. "
"The hotel itself is stunning and very picturesque. The property is beautifully maintained, and the overall atmosphere feels luxurious. The hotel is also very clean, and the staff are polite and welcoming.
However, the vegetarian options are extremely limited. The only choices available were grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes, and rice. There was a pasta station, but for an all-inclusive resort, you would expect a much wider variety of vegetarian dishes.
Communication was also challenging at times. Many staff members struggled to understand English and often relied on AI to communicate. Even something as simple as requesting a cup of oat milk became unnecessarily difficult.
Overall, the hotel is visually impressive with great servic, but the limited vegetarian options and communication barriers made the experience less seamless than expected. "
"We stayed for a week in one of the rooms looking over the Red Sea in the Posh Club. The room was spotless and spacious. The staff were fantastic in every respect. We enjoyed all of the restaurants. The transfers to and from the airport were flawless. The laundry service was outstanding. We definitely would love to come back. Thanks to Hanna, Hassan and many others who made the stay special. The Spa and message therapy was also wonderful. "

"Room was dirty, worn down, and full of mosquitoes. Resort itself was subpar, not really the greatest. The area it’s in, is nice. Walkable distance to soho market. "
