Fabulous Condo at Five Star Resort #209

2/10 Terrible

"*****AVOID this place at all costs.**** We booked this unit for our company. I read all the fine print and it states that you must contact the condo to provide a credit card for the deposit. I contacted the condo a week before to ensure a smooth check in for our employees. The property manager or owner answered the phone and went off on me about how Expedia is useless to work with, that it doesn't send out the information properly, that I should have received emails (that I wasn't getting) and how stupid the system was. All I wanted to do was provide the credit card information for the damage deposit. Upon our check out, the PM or owner then sent me photos of a table we apparently damaged with hot food?? As our employees have an food allowance, so I had a hard time believing take out would warp/crack the wood on the table. So I asked for proof. The photos sent were just of the table. No way to determine where the table was located. When I asked for a room photo where the table was located, I was ignored and again they complained about the system. When I asked again, I was told that they wouldn't be doing this back and forth with me anymore? After asking again for the 3rd time, I finally got the staged photos and I was told I was being ridiculous and that my handling of the situation was absolutely abysmal. This PM or owner is very unprofessional and not easy to deal with. Save yourself the headache and AVOID!!! They just want to keep the damage deposit."

"Was extremely disappointed with Super 8 and when we checked out asked to speak with manager and were told they were unavailable and they’d call us back but never received a call. We will be contacting Wyndham to file complaint. Upon arrival there was a group smoking right outside the main doors so lobby was filled with smoke, front desk attendant said he was going to speak with the group and have them move but he never did. Floors throughout hotel were filthy and overall very run down. There were dogs barking and kids running through the hallways until quite late, seemed very out of control. When we got up in the morning we realized the mattress protector under our sheet was covered in urine stains as was the bed skirt had stains all along it, we were in a pet room so I’m pretty sure the stains were pet urine. Definitely will NEVER stay here again and would obviously never recommend it! Paying almost $300 for the night here was an absolute rip off! Terrible experience:("

"Staff was efficient and friendly. We stayed 2 nights, used the in room coffee the first morning and it was not replaced. Not a big deal but we enjoy sitting in our jammies enjoying a liesurly cup before we get ready for the day. Great coffee available in the breakfast room Breakfast was great with some changes from the first morning to the second. Room was clean but no visit from housekeeping . We were busy and no time for the hot tub."

"Alphonso went over and beyond to give us the best experience possible. Great attention to detail. We already had breakfast plans, but the aromas were fantastic and people we saw eating were having a great experience. If you’re looking for a nice place to get away and not worry about what to eat in the morning, head over there."

"The nice view of this property overlooking the Okanagan Lake is enough reason to stay here. Room is nice & clean, with a view of the lake, & you can sit outside by the lawn to enjoy the moments too. Breakfast is included, owner is nice & the price is very affordable. I would stay here again if I come back."
