I booked to stay in this hotel because of its location. It's situated in the heart of Shanghai with most happenings. Of course not for night life but for those on business travel with it's central location, indeed very convenient.

The room design is extremely uncomfortable. The steps on the stairs to the bedroom are super steep so you feel like you have to climb up, then when you get upstairs the ceiling is extremely low so you can’t stand upright. The lighting in the room is super bright (like a hospital) and there is no window or natural light that enters the room. The room was clean and I’m not usually very picky but this was an unpleasant experience for me. Wouldn’t recommend.

Nice quiet area, video shop one side and a local baker the other shop on the corner. Go through Xintiandi tube and there lots of western style shops and food places botb fast and eateries. The hotel rooms are comfortable and no problems whatc so ever.

Nice and clean, excessively loud at night.
This location has basically zero sound proofing and can be very loud at night. I suggest taking earplugs. Nice and clean and friendly helpful staff though. Probably won't stay here again, just because of the noise levels.

Unique Find, Local Vibe, Great Value
This was a unique find - a series of interconnected lane houses renovated to form a hotel. Located amidst actual lane houses, you get a very local vibe and a real slice of life in Shanghai. At the same time, it was close to the gentrified neighbourhood of Xintiandi, giving you a lot of options in terms of food and shopping. Our particular room was a 2-floor loft, with one single bed on the ground floor, and a double/queen bed on the very roomy loft area. One negative was that the airconditioning does not quite reach the upper loft area (because of the 2-floor configuration), unless you leave it whilst you are out of the hotel. The bathroom (particularly the shower), was quite small, although quite clean. The sink is located outside of the bathroom, on a little island counter that also contains a washing machine and refrigerator. All the basics we there as well - hotel water kettle, hair dryer, toiletries, free wifi. Free coffee is also available at the lobby 24/7. The roof deck was also a great place to hang out if the weather is cool enough. The price was extremely reasonable, especially considering the great location and uniqueness of the property.

Before I book this package, I did asked your staff to give me a recommendation of the hotel n location. I wanted a 4 star n location must be very convenient n good. He gave me this hotel but later when I book this staff was not around n a new staff served me. So I just booked this hotel. Now my friend came back n tell me hotel it's very bad. It's not a 4 star n also location very inconvenient. Very disappointed for recently the both trips

Perfect for Short Trip for 2
GREAT for a short trip for 2: budget price, VERY convenient location (5 min. walk to Xintiandi and 2 metro stations), clean and new reception with a snacks machine, has a common room with mini gym and rooftop chill area overlooking the surrounding local Shanghainese shikumen old houses! Our room for 2 was a small studio flat. Small, but it was in new condition and lovely minimalist interior design, and the cozy loft was great. Bathroom and pantry was clean, and they provided complimentary water every day! Pillows/double bed mattress was a little flat, but not a huge problem for a short trip. Walls not so sound proof, so we could often hear noises from the hallways and adjacent family rooms. Surprise highlight was the local food shop right next to the hotel, which sold local Shanghainese breakfast like dumplings, scallion bread and soy milk for a great price!

Clean hotel with friendly staff
The hotel is clean, and no cigarette smell which often found in Mainland hotel. Room is exactly what I saw from hotels.com. The only shortcoming is that the wall are poorly soundproofed.

Located near to Xintiandi, about 10 to 15mins walk away. The property is within an older residential area that gives it a certain charm amidst the newer estates around it. It has been refurbished and the interiors are new, modern and comfortable.

Great location, easy access to metro and walking distance to many museums and public spaces (including 30 min walk to the Bund). No on-premise restaurant/bar, but there were small breakfast vendors right next door in the AM and hotpot joints at the south end of the street in the PM. Also, two blocks east were multiple 24-hour convenience stores. Apple Maps had a hard time finding the location (still listed under the old name, "Yinongmeiyu Hotel (New World Branch"), but Google Maps had no trouble finding it. I reported the issue to Apple, but have not seen an update yet. The loft room was good overall, but had some quirks. Built-in all-in-one washer/dryer for free laundry, plenty of space to move around in the room, and free wifi. Unfortunately, the room had no outside windows for ventilation, and it suffered from moisture build-up in the room, which made the room smell musty. I left the bathroom fan running 24/7 and the third day the air was much cleaner. The walls showed signs of recent repair, which I'm sure had to do with water damage. The last quirk was that the room had no lock-box. I had no issues with items going missing, but I also did not have peace-of-mind. Very little noise, and multiple staff fluent in English were very helpful.

Spotless, inexpensive, and comfortable
The hotel is set back on a busy Shanghai street, nestled among a row of private small businesses. There is street food right next door. I bough a teapot a few doors down. You'll know you're in China. Stay at this hotel if you want to get away from tourists and have an authentic Shanghai experience. There is a McDonald's within walking distance if you aren't an adventurous eater, and the Metro is right near that. There are convenience stores on either end of the block. The room had a washer and a fridge, The fridge was stocked with sodas and snacks when I arrived, and I was starving, so I cleaned it out. It will not be restocked, so try to pace yourself. There is a snack machine in the hall, but it only accepts Alibaba pay, so unless you are familiar with that payment method, walk down the street. The room had a loft and the bed was upstairs. Please know that the upstairs is only about four feet high, though. I'm 6'5", and it was fine. If you've been to Beijing and stayed at a five star hotel for $100, please don't expect to get as much hotel for your money in expensive Shanghai. That said, I would stay here again. The staff do not speak English, but they have translators they speak into which will display their words in English. There was certainly a language barrier on one level, but I was always able to get what I needed as the staff did not stop until I was satisfied.

I was extremely impressed with this little gem & will definitely stay here again. The staff were lovely & super helpful, my room had a washing machine which was very handy & there was a cute little sun/work out room on the roof. Location is excellent, 5 mins walk from the nearest metro, lovely safe neighborhood to walk around. Excellent value!

Rooms small, no view, one of them even had only a small window close to the ceiling. The immediate neighbors of the hotel give a very bad impression, by the name I expected I would be in the nicest area of Xintandi and it’s not the case. The staff is great!

Decent place in a good location
This is a decent place in a great location. It is very close to the metro, also Xintaindi area. The room I stayed was nice, but can be better. Overall was clean, but the bathroom was a little smelly from the pipe. The shower area is tiny. The loft style of the room was interesting, but the upper bedroom area is small, the ceiling is low to be able to move around. The name of this place is not constant with their Chinese name, so the taxi driver had a hard time to search it on their local app.

酒店位於舊區中，它雖設有電梯，但 2-3樓住客有機會要拖行李行幾級樓梯才到房間。房間清潔不足，房內有干衣功能洗衣機，但無標示使用方法及顯示洗衣及干衣共需5小時，房間隔音不足。 酒店員工不會主動協助及請安，這方面要再加培訓，酒店雖細小，但酒店頂層伋設有活動及休息空間，前台側設有咖啡機，值得一讚。 本人覺得由地鐵新天地站1號出口到酒店較方便，因有上落電動樓梯，道路好行。

清潔好きにはオススメしない
良い点 ・受付スタッフや掃除スタッフも皆フレンドリーで対応もいい(英語も出来ないので中国語がわからない客は対応悪いと誤解するかも) ・駅から近く交通に便利、受付に頼めばタクシーも呼んでくれる ・古い建物なので、古い生活感を感じるにはいい ・洗濯があるので長期滞在には便利（乾燥まで2時間以上かかる。干すにはハンガー少ない） ・ロビーでコーヒーが飲める（あまり美味しくないが） ・屋上で誰もいないとちょっと一息できる（人がいると大体タバコを吸っている） 悪い点 ・部屋が写真と全然違う、デザインが異なる部屋多く窓なしもあるので部屋の当たり外れあり。 ・写真と違い部屋はかなり狭い ・エレベーターが使えない、建物の作りが複雑で階段も多い ・水回りのカビが多く下水道の臭いもする、掃除で床を拭いたそのモップの臭いも臭くて部屋に残る為、外出から戻ると臭いと感じる ・タオルが湿気臭い、カビ臭い感じがする ・机の真上にテレビがあって不便 今回は場所と安さで選んでみたが、正直この値段だと別の場所でもっといいホテルか、同じレベルでもっと安いホテルに泊まれると思った。水回りのカビは結構ひどいので、清潔好きにはオススメしない。海外に旅慣れてる人、バックパッカー的な人、寝るだけでいい人は大丈夫だと思う。老西门駅まで歩いて10分くらい。近所はどローカルな牛麺屋やパン屋っぽいのがあるが、外国人は食べれないレベルと汚さだと思う。外国人が食べれるレストランは駅まで行くか、繁華街まで行かないとない。近所にコーヒーショップなどもない。ビールが飲める小さなバーがあるくらい。最初は窓のない部屋に通されてしまったので、交渉して窓がある部屋にしてもらったが、どの部屋も狭く、写真と同じ希望していた部屋は他の人が入ってるからと希望が叶わなかった。窓からは部屋の場所によるが古い町の生活ぶりを少し覗くことができるかもしれないくらいの景色。そもそも窓の位置（構造が）普通の位置ではなく上の方にあるので、ベットに登ってちょっと見えるくらい。窓も少ししか開けられないので空気を入れ替えることも難しく、壁に囲まれてる感じで狭い部屋は特に閉塞感を感じると思う。部屋の臭いが気になる人は消臭スプレーなど持って行くのがいいかもしれない。机は非常に小さく、机の上にテレビがあって近すぎて見れないし、ビジネスで来る人にもオススメしない。格安旅行とバックパッカーにオススメ。
