"I found this hotel / villa with VIP Access searching through Expedia’s website. It is a hidden gem for those looking for a serene and beautiful environment (with views of vineyards and expansive landscapes). There are bed & breakfast type rooms in the main house, or multi-bedroom villas near the main house. We had a spacious 3 bedroom “house” (Moscatel) with its own courtyard, and a spacious living & dining area on the first floor, and a full European-size refrigerator and kitchen. The hotel...

"They gave us a wrong room with shared bathroom so we had to stay for one night not two, no staff at night or at check in. Other rooms are great and good people. Need a refund for the cancelled night. "

"Historische Altbausubstanz, aber sehr schöne und originelle Inneneinrichtung mit vielen alten Büchern an unterschiedlichen Stellen. Staff zurückhaltend freundlich, aber sehr aufmerksam. Frühstück auch originell - nicht zu porig, aber von allem was da. Auch hier wieder Unikatischer historischer Charme eines alten Hauses. Vor dem Haus ist direkt ein kleiner Park und zur Zeit des Stadtfestes bis spät in die Nacht Remmidemmi, das sollte man wissen. Ansonsten von der Lage sehr zentral. Gerne wieder."

"We needed to get to the train station rather early, so chose this for location. That said, we LOVED it. the staff is terrific and it's gorgeous and spacious. We had a small balcony and view of the river. We could walk to the tour we wanted to do. I would not hesitate to book here."

"The room was good, but the images had an espresso machine which was not in the room. After requested, it was never brought up. The minibar was not working and we had to ask twice about it - the fix was moving us to a different room, rather than rhe minibar."

"The hotel is very old but was likely incredible during its heyday. Our room was spacious and clean. The front desk people were efficient but not friendly. We attempted to book airport transfers through the hotel but did not get help making those arrangements prior to arrival. If I return to Lisbon, I will find another property in the same area. "This was, by far, one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. The walkway was ancient, rundown, and felt downright unsafe. The rooms? Beyond outdated—borderline uninhabitable. To make matters worse, the lift was old, creaky, and felt incredibly unsafe. How this hotel ever received a rating of 8.0 is beyond comprehension. It’s shocking and unacceptable that Hotel.com would allow such a misleading rating to stand. I trusted your platform to guide me toward quality stays, but this was a complete disaster. You seriously let me down this time. Immediate action is needed—both for your customers and your credibility. I’m reconsidering ever using Hotel.com again after this debacle"
