It was perfect for our one-night stay: very convenient location, very helpful staff at the reception. Rooms were a bit tiny but the view on Insadong market and the Namsan tower were fabulous!

The room was very tight with 3 single beds for only for two people without a sitting chair and the shower is very narrow. I was told the room has 3 beds at the time making reservation but didn't tell me about the space. Had I know it is extremely narrow room I wouldn't take it. I am now very happy to stay in a better hotel in Korea until April 10. Ibis Ambassy hotel will remain in my heart with bad memory.

The hotel is in a great location - near Ikseondong and Insadong with all of the charming shops and restaurants and within walking distance of the Bukchon Hanok village, Jogyesa Temple, and a slightly longer walk to Gwanghwamun Square and Gyeongbokgung Palace. The staff was helpful and kind. The rooms are small and didn't have great temperature controls, but were otherwise clean and comfortable. I would stay there again for the great location.

Superb staff and good location
Very centrally located to some amazing Korean BBQ spots down the street and some Western bars/restaurants across the street. The staff are SO friendly and amazing! They speak great English and helped us make music venue reservations and call a taxi for the airport. I really enjoyed our stay!

Close to Insadong shopping and Dongdaemun shopping was 2 metro stops away. Staff were helpful and the rooms comfortable. Convenience store was just around the side to the hotel.

The staff at Ibis were very welcoming and always helpful. My room was clean. Sure, small bathroom, but that was ok. The hot bath downstairs was great, (both times i used it it was just me!). The location was great. Walk opposite the hotel and there's a maze of restaurants and cafes and shops and a metro stop (Jongno 3). Fantastic bar round the corner called Brew 3.14. French girl working there is lovely and chatty.

Staff members are helpful and speak English well enough. Area is a great foodie place. The rooms are clean and comfy. There are washing machine and dryers at the basement with couches and tv if you want to wash at the hotel. There is also a gym and hot bath amenities. This is my go-to place when I visit Korea .

Cafe lovers delight!
We were right in front of the Ikseondong hanok eateries - like the popular Cheongsudang, Oncheonjib, Mil Toast & Nakwon Station. Walkable distance to Cafe Onion too! There is a basic hot bath in the basement and you can do your laundry too.

I remember staying here five years ago on my own and thought the hotel was great with a great location so I decided to stay here again. However, this time, with three people, the room was too small. The bathroom was too small. It’s a great price for the location but I would probably look for another place in the future. Especially if I am traveling with another person.

Perfect for my needs, clean, comfortable bed, great location, neever seen such great laundry in a hotel. Staff went out of their way to help me. The only niggle was the room temperature was a little warmer than I prefer, however, this was easily resolved as the window opened.

Recommended friendly hotel, great staff
I stayed at this hotel for 4 days whilst i arranged my final departure from South Korea after completion of work. The hotel was recommended to me by my family who had stayed a few years earlier. Was very pleasantly surprised with the hotel and found staff had an exceptional attitude and could not do enough to help me. Great places to eat and drink (....and i do like a few craft beers myself). Would highly recommend Ibis for it's excellent rates, friendliness and location within Seoul for access to tourist destination. When i pass through again, i shall certainly book this hotel.
