The pool was nice and the staff very friendly walking distance to beach and bars restaurants Only thing I didn’t like was the pillows where flat just my taste in pillows otherwise perfect stay The rice paper rolls are a must to taste

Lovely pool and the rooms are beautiful. We did book a king bed hotel room got given a queen room thatis the smallest of the rooms and as we have seen the other rooms the property still tried to tell us that we got the correct room! Beds are comfortable. Pillows need improving but overall enjoyed our stay

We requested a Non smoking room but because the windows adjoining the alleyway are mesh you get the second hand smoke from your neighbours, both our neighbours were heavy morning smokers. Someone had been smoking in the bathroom as cigarette ends had been left on the wall to the open space. Bathroom needed to be cleaned twice and even then the standard wasn’t great. Had to get pillows changed as they had mildew staining on them Mildew staining on blinds, water came in on bed with heavy rain Phoned at midnight by receptionist be told they were moving us, only to go to reception the next morning to be told we would have to share with another couple! We obviously didn’t move. Our safe was broken and had to be fixed before we could use it. They are slowly renovating the rooms, spent one of our days by the pool but with only six loungers for the complex you can only hope you get one. Those available are battered with exposed foam where the covers are split. The staff are great as usual in Bali and clearly try but with old facilities it’s got to be really difficult for them

Liked the fact that it was central, a short walk to beach and shops but was quiet and private. Bathroom was not cleaned particularly well. The room was ok but did not have any lounge furniture. It was slightly misrepresented on the website. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

They didn’t have my booking when I arrived, I waited an hour and a half for my room. I was told I’d get an free upgrade for my troubles for the remainder of my stay. The following day I was taken to another room that had a slightly larger lounge area, but a smaller bedroom and a bathroom with no bath. Several doors were locked shut - I asked for them to be opened and after an hour, voila I had a jacuzzi! THEN the air conditioning ‘stopped working’ Would I like to go back to the room I’d booked? Yes? Of course (which is why I booked it?). I was given many apologies for having had to settle into a room three time’s in two days - was told they’d make it up to me with a free massage. Every single person in the compound received special gift complimentary massages. And for families (couple, two kids) they got 4 vouchers. I was one woman in a double room, I still got one. When I finally and happily returned to the original room I’d booked, I found that the kind deluxe bed mattress was now replaced and was now two single mattresses stuck together and made up as a king bed. Dodgy place, which is unfortunate.

Amazing villas
Right in the heart if Seminyak, but you wouldn’t know it! 2 minutes walk to shopping and restaurants, 5 minute walk to the beach. The room (garden villa with jacuzzi) was stunning, and gets made up twice a day. The staff are super helpful with making bookings and reservations, and local knowledge. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and happy to help. There is also a laundry service, bug beautiful pool and gardens.

Excellent hotel close to the beach
This hotel is very near to the beach, only takes about 3 minutes walk. The staffs are very helpful, they can help you to book a private car to the airport however I would recommend to book though the Bluebird app which the cab is charge on meter. So it is cheaper to book through the bluebird app. Not much breakfast menu options available. If you are out early, you may inform them and the staff is very glad to pack a breakfast box for you but you can only have croissant, bread and a fruit platter. Everything is perfect unless you are not so a beach person as the neighbourhood area is not as crowded as Kuta, to be honest I prefer Kuta as I am a shopaholic.

Was very happy with the overall service of this hotel. Staff were friendly and always said hello, made me feel very welcome. The standard of Artemis was amazing and I will definitely be recommending to my friends. Perfect hotel if you want a quite holiday.

Great location and great place overall
We had two families of four stay in the largest villa. The size of the villa is perfect and the pool is one of the best villa pools I have seen. All our kids loved it! Location is great, hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The security guys are sensational, seriously they are so polite and trustworthy. I left my phone out the front of the resort and later the security came to my villa to return it. Food is pretty great and well priced. Beds are a little hard and there probably needs some maintence in the kitchen as it's a little dated. Overall this place is really good and great for family's. I highly recommend staying there.

Rat infested and dirty
We stayed in their 3BR Villa which photographs lovely but close up its filthy. Smelly dried urine stains on toilets, dried blood in the mosquito netting on the bed, rat and cockroach infested. We even had a rat join us on the couch one night much to our children's delight. We stayed 12 nights and not one surface was cleaned properly by the staff. The breakfast is disappointing too. Silly fixed menu with no variety or flexibility to swap anything around. Staff wee very helpful when our daughter took sick though with a stomach parasite which hospitalised her for 3 nights. We moved the couch on the last day to see if we left anything behind, to our horror it had rat poo and urine all over the floor which might explain why one joined us for a movie one night. We've been to Bali several times and love it but there's no need to tolerate filth when other villas are spotless. I have no idea how others have rated this so well. Did I mention the slimy pool bottom?
So disappointed I didn't even take pictures of the villa

We stayed in Villa 1, it's a lovely villa we did have dramas with A/C but they quickly repaired this the next day. We didn't enjiy the breakfast tho, it is very limited. No buffet and u can only choose a small amount or u pay extra. Overall great stay and staff were friendly

Quaint villas with friendly staff
Stayed 4 nights with my family (wife and 3 kids including a 3 month old) and really enjoyed it. The hotel/villas are a quaint and quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak streets. The restaurant overlooking the pool is a great spot for anything from a quiet drink to evening meal, with good quality food. Our kids (and us) loved and regularly used the pool. Couldn't fault how friendly and helpful the staff were, even on occasion taking our bubs for cuddles so my wife and I could could enjoy our food and drink. We initially weren't sure about the location down a narrow alley, but found this meant the hotel was quiet and felt safe, with security manning the driveway every time we came or went. Is only a short 5 minute walk to the beach or alternatively, amongst plenty of street shopping and various dining. The only thing we felt could be improved was room cleanliness. Whilst not too bad, there was certainly room for this to be improved. But overall would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

Definitely NOT a four star hotel!
You can always tell the place is a bit off when they don't answer your emails. Sure enough, the place is not really represented in the photos on line. This happened at the hotel I went to last year in Amed. TV didn't work Limited water flow in the bathroom (just a dribble) Room service demanded cash and correct change (including tax) Room service delivered without cutlery Only 2 pillows per bed limit No chairs provided for relaxing except for 4 pool side lounges. Over priced for what was on offer. Left to go to the Royal down the road.

We loved our experience at Artemis. Staff tried their best to accommodate us as much as they could. Great location. Awesome pools. Lovely atmosphere. It was a perfect place to stay with extended family in one villa. It was great they gave us lots of mosquito repellent and tanks of water. Would definitely stay there again. Bit of wear n tear but we still enjoyed our staff.

We stayed in the one bedroom garden villa, it was bright and sunny and private with awesome high cathedral ceilings and i loved the vibe. The pool area and gardens are lovely and the staff very helpful at all times. No doubt the villas could use a lick of paint here and there to freshen things up,and the linen and towels could be refreshed....but overall the whole place is still really tasteful and has a lovely peaceful garden vibe. Food and coffee is average but there are plenty of other places to go so don't let that deter you. Nice that breakfast is included. All in all, i loved it at Villa Artemis and would stay there again.

Very lovely villa
Staff so friendly and helpful. our villa was very clean and so comfortable. Fabulous to have our own jacuzzi. The food at the restaurant was very cheap and quite delicious. The location was excellent and very safe, close to all amenities needed. Thank you Artemis - we will stay again

It's seen better days, but still OK
Although the staff are really friendly and helpful, the facilities need a major uplift. The room was swarming with mozzies, which flew in through the open air bathroom window (on night 2 we had asked for a screen to be installed - it worked! Why can't those windows have permanent mozzie screens?). The bed was huge! but on such a huge bed, 2 covers should be placed, not one, as the size made it heavy and cumbersome. We did see better rooms as we passed to the entrance (hard to find & nearly impossible to access by a bigger sized taxi) so it may have been the luck of the draw. The pool was nice and the breakfast choice very good (it could have been a bit tastier, though). Overall, a 3-star stay.

We had a great stay here, it i was in a fairly bustling part of seminyak, but inside the resort you could not hear anything from the road. The staff were friendly and happy to help, the food served was pretty good and pool was great for a dip. The room was serviced twice a day, so there was never a short supply of fresh towels. I would stay there again

Really enjoyed our stay here. Family of 5 and granny. Perfect space for all. Luxury accommodation in the 3 Bed villa with our own Pool which was a great size and temperature i could have floated every day away in it. Nice quiet locale down spotless laneway, felt very safe. Close walk to Seminyak beach good beginner waves great for kids and close to great shops food. Less annoying street vendors than in Kuta people just trying to make a living. Next time I will stay longer!!!! Even tho we had to leave 6am they packed us takeaway breakfast of muffins croissants pastries we were happy to have while waiting to board at the airport. Thanks Artemis.

I've now stayed here twice and will stay here each and every time I visit Seminyak, Bali. Such great value for money. Wonderful staff, great rooms and a beautiful pool to lounge by. Great value for money.

A wonderfully relaxing getaway
My husband and I spent a week in the one bedroom private jacuzza villa. We had such a wonderful and telaxing time that we hardly left the hotel. The food and cocktails served in the restaurant were excellent and breakfast was brought to your room. We had a wonderful stay and will be recommendeding the hotel to family and friends.

The Hotel is great, big room big bed. Don't like the day sheet prefer a doona as I know it's clean. Bathroom needs a bit of updating and perhaps some more comfortable furniture. Kitchen not fully equipped no kettle tea pot. Charged for drinks in bar although I replaced them only $3 each but considering we paid $130 per night I think it's a bit of a shame to finish on a bad note. Breakfast is a bit monotonous as it's a la carte the nasi goreng is the only worth wild thing to eat it taste great. The juice is very watered down. Location is great for shopping, about 5ks+ to Kuta for walking. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Apart from the charge of the drinks great olace to stay a bit over priced at $130 per night for Bali I think you can do better perhaps closer to the beach. I guess I prefer to walk from the hotel to the beach.

Colonial charm near the beach.
Quiet oasis close enough to the beach to walk, and small enough to always be only steps away from the pool. The rooms were much bigger than in the photos. Lovely staff, especially the dude at breakfast - always a big laugh to share with everyone.

Stayed here for the last leg of our trip to Bali-- only 2 nights before flying out, so wanted something budget friendly since we spent a lot of $$ in 2 weeks. At first glance the hotel was very cute-- nice pool and restaurant area, rooms were very nice and seemed pretty clean... Until you got to the bathroom. I'm not sure what happened there but it was almost like they ran out of money and decided not to do anything in there. Tile and fixtures looked dingy and old. There is no A/C because it's partially open to the outdoors. This also means bugs and debris on the floor. The bathroom did NOT seem clean to me. So much so that I could not bring myself to shower without sandals on and I chose NOT to shower before my 20 hr flight home because I just did not want to get back in that shower :( Even after daily housekeeping it still did not feel clean. Service however was friendly, breakfast at the restaurant was good. Tons of shops and restaurants and the beach within 10 min walk but the hotel is down a weird little alley. Hotel did not offer shuttle to airport so we took an Uber. All in all, I would recommend this if you're looking for a mid-range hotel and aren't a neat freak like me :P

Dirty bathroom with mould and grime. 2 star
It was an old hotel/villas musty smell, bathroom had mould and grime all over, my bathroom was never cleaned during my stay, i had to tell the maid to clean but she didnt. it is in need of refurbishment and paint. Also located in a back alley which is scary to walk through at night. nice pool and staff but thats it. not worth the money 2 star at best. I regret paying good money for a bad hotel/villas
