Lovely accommodations
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We had 2 units, both of which were very clean and seemed recently updated. It was a very pleasant stay.

The room was so cute and comfortable. It had a kitchen with all the appliances and kitchen utensils you could possibly need, it even had some pantry staples stocked. The bathroom was designed well, the whole room was actually. Also, I showed up after midnight, expecting to just collect my room key at the reception but an owner came out to greet me and show me to my room which was so nice of her. I highly recommend this place.

first you should know that the property is not located in Selfoss, but about 10 minutes out and it is a horse eanch with cottages. Very charming ... just that the address Expedia shows is confusing as there are 2 streets with the same name. Guests should continue oast the girst ine and into the countryside about ten minutes toward the second ine well marked off the main road. Look for horse ranch setting. You will live your stay!!!

Very quiet location, outside of town, in a farm. There are animals, including horses nearby, no need to go far for pictures. Comfortable bed, a little kitchen and a suna is always a plus! This property is away from town, so prepare your own food before arrival.

This is a place about 10 mins from Selfoss. Tiny little cabin room with a small kitchen. It wasn't the cleanest room when we checked in, but it was well maintained. The host was nice and the place was easy to find. We traveling with a 3 year old child and it wasn't very child proof of/toddler friendly, because there was literally no space. I wouldn't stay here with a child.

The guesthouse was set in a very nice, rural area. the cabins were clean and the kitchen was well stocked for us. It was a great place to stay as a base for our visits to the National Park. The town of Selfoss had a Bonus grocery store so we could stock up for out 3 days...breakfast and dinner. We wish the owners had been on site to chat with our about Iceland...

We were greeted at the car and given great service. The staff showed us how to operate the sauna and where everything was. He got us some ice when requested. It was a real cute cottage with 4 separate rooms. The bed was comfortable. There were view of horses grazing out the window. A little tricky to find though and the shower was difficult to operate.

This place is wonderful. Selfoss is a great little town, and Country Dream Guesthouse is the perfect place to stay. It's on a farm and the hosts are wonderful people. They are really friendly and I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone. It's very secluded and the guesthouses are very warm and cozy. It's a home away from home.

Fantastic place to stay
Very happy I stayed here - hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and the room was lovely and warm (in the winter). Everything was in great condition and clean. Plenty of parking and easy to find with Google Maps. I can imagine this would also be a great place to see the northern lights due to being a bit outside of town (sadly it was cloudy when I stayed). I would definitely stay here again if I’m back in the area!

Stayed in the sauna apartment! An absolute must if you're a bit chilly from the winter weather. The host was super friendly, and the amenities were prefect. A great price and location too! Highly recommend.

Loved it!
This place was so adorable! In the country but only a few minutes from the city. Friendly host with the cutest dog that reminded me of my own back home. Cute and spacious room with satellite tv. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Make sure you drive in from the Selfoss direction! Do not try to get to the property on the first road GPS gives you if you are coming from the west. After about 2 miles of gravel, the grate in the road is impassable in a standard car. The cottages were very nice and clean.

Gorgeous cottage in the country. Easy to find location along the golden circle. Fabulous hosts that gave us great sightseeing guidance. Excellent communication before our arrival and during our stay. Took a little walk down the back gravel road at midnight and saw the most amazing midnight sun with gorgeous views.

Quite and beautiful location very close to Selfoss. We loved the place, the accommodation had a steam room which runs on hot water from natural resources. Room can with kitchen so handy in terms of preparing breakfast.

Golden circle and northern lights
The owners are very nice and accommodating. The home is cozy and comfortable. The location is very convenient for the golden circle and the south coast waterfalls. We were able to see the northern lights on 2 of our nights by going to a small pull off on the road where the home is located. I would highly recommend this home.

Perfect stay!
This property is fabulous and everyone should go! Check in was very quick and Ragnar very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and clean. The little kitchenette was extremely useful for making dinner and breakfast. Location in the country is perfect, away from the lights of Selfoss if you are interested in darkness for the aurora, but near enough to be able to use the advantages is the town.

Lovely countryside experience
We only stayed in the Country Dream Guesthouse for one night, but it was great! We rented the one bedroom cottage and it kept us warm and dry on an extremely rainy night. The location was a bit difficult to find in the dark and rain, but I imagine it would have been fine if the weather had been better and easy in the daylight. The hosts were unable to greet us due to a family emergency, which was completely understandable, but they made sure that we had everything we needed and that checkin would be seemless in their absense. The cottage was comfortable and very cute, but if you are staying for multiple days and would like to cook, it may be a bit tight as the kitchen area is very small and a bit dated. Linens and towels were provided and the bed was very comfortable. My favorite part of the stay was exploring the area in the morning when we had good weather - the horses down the road greeted us and the dog was very friendly as well! If I am ever back in Iceland, I would stay here again for a longer time and would recommend it to anyone! A tip: please be sure to contact the hosts before you arrive to clarify the check in process as there is no front desk!

Very remote location, a bit tricky to find as our rental car GPS didn't have the road included in the maps (Garmin). It was perfect for our family of 4,two young kids. We saw northern lights from the yard of this place... No need to go on a tour!

A quiet country getaway with friendly service
What a gorgeous place to stay! It is just a few minutes drive to a gas station and a few places to eat as well as a grocery store. Otherwise, this beautiful horse farm is very quiet and our hosts were EXTREMELY friendly! I would certainly stay here again.

The room and bathroom were very pleasant and clean. We did not purchase the breakfast; it did not look all that impressive, nor was the breakfast space; a little awkward because it was basically their entry way. I was a little disappointed that the hot tub was not in use and it would have been nice to get more info about the northern lights especially because they were supposed to be pretty spectacular that night, but being new to Iceland (it was our first night there), we didn't realize that checking the night sky once was not necessarily enough.

Loved it
I booked last minute because of a change in weather and had no problems with checking in. The property itself is great, I had a chandelier in my bedroom. Super cute and very comfortable. The host was also great. I would stay here again! I did not eat breakfast but it looked decent and reasonably priced.
