It was much more affordable and for the price the views and the service were excellent. Well the hotel was a bit dated. The place was very clean. The only reason why we gave four stars on cleanliness is because some of the floors and carpets are a bit older and appear faded and are holding some dirt. "I was very disappointed with my stay. The bed sheets smelled strongly of urine, and my room was only cleaned once during my entire stay. There was also a heavy cigarette odor throughout the property, making it unpleasant for families. The carpet in the room was extremely dirty so much so that I did not feel comfortable letting my one-year-old walk on it. Overall, the cleanliness and condition of the hotel did not meet expectations, and I would not recommend it for families with young children....

"The hotel is in a great central location, has free parking, and a shuttle (extra fee) if needed to sightsee downtown. It was clean, in a very safe area, and the lobby nicely decorated, although there is some need for maintenance around the property. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. "An exquisite boutique hotel in the French Quarter of Charleston. We enjoyed the daily staff attention to the little details that make a stay special that included fresh baked goodies and champagne as well as some brandy from time to time in the lobby. The art walk was a great experience as well as the roof top bar. Everyone on staff was there to help."

"Room was lovely with a balcony, though if possible ask for one that's not on the first floor, where what you see is the pool. The Harbor view from upper floors is beautiful. Daily resort fee covers the usual, but they also provide a free shuttle into town which was so worth it and ice cream treats daily."
