"It's hard to remember if I've ever encountered more friendly, helpful and efficient staff, especially when we'd left, but after a cancelled plane, had to rebook another night at very short notice. The hotel is very well located for all of the walking around you might want to do, and is barely 30 mins/E25 Uber from the airport. The breakfast was terrific, and the Italian restaurant provided the best meal of the holiday. My wife tells me the pool was lovely! Can't recommend highly enough, and I'd never stay anywhere else in Porto."

"We absolutely loved this hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it. The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout. The room was spacious with a separate seating area and had a very comfortable bed with luxurious bed linen. The staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The garden area was an additional bonus; a great area for a drink or to make use of the swim in and out pool. Porto is a great city to explore - we can’t wait to return and would definitely return to the GA Palace."

"You can’t beat the location - on a quiet street with a small grocery store just 2 minutes from the bottom of Santa Catarina street. There are 3-4 small coffee shops in the way to the square and several restaurants nearby. Check-in is a little confusing as the office is in a different location but not far. I dealt mostly with Raquel and she was amazing. The only thing to improve is to perhaps change the towels as they are getting a bit old but it did not bother me that much. Small fridge and a microwave were super helpful for breakfasts and nights when i was too tired to go out. Am staying there again after my camino!"
