"This place is a gem! Staff was courteous and goes out of their way to help you. Perfect location in La Jolla to walk to pretty much all the sights, restaurants and shops. The Inn is quaint and clean. Our room had amazing views of the ocean— just across the street-with large windows. We also had a balcony with chairs to relax and view the sea. The rooftop lounge area has seating and a gas firepit area to relax and watch the sunset or just visit. Lobby is stocked with fresh fruit water daily and breakfast was included with our stay. It was well worth the visit! Thank you!"

The cliffs just across from UC San Diego along the trail of the Scripps coastal reserve provide what I consider to be the best sunset viewing point in San Diego. Oftentimes from the cliffs (which overlook blacks beach to the right and the Scripps pier to the left) I can see dolphins playing near shore, surfers catching waves, or a paraglider floating into the sunset.
