The room was clean, linen was clean, electric blanket heated up quickly, air conditioner warmed the room quickly. You can hear the train through the night, and people walking outside in the morning, so no sleeping in later. Close and handy to town and a restaurant on site which is very convenient.

Excellent value accommodation

Comfortable room with great facilties, especially for this price point. Could do with a bit of spucing up, the ripped curtains for a start, but really, this doesn't take away from a good size room, comfortable beds and a wonderful shower, which is all you need.

Very peaceful and quiet, easy check in and out. The staff was very friendly. Spent 1 night only, so it was very convenient for a last minute booking. The property is not too far away from the town center, so shopping was not a problem. I was very satisfied with my stay.

Overall the room was clean and tidy though a little outdated which was okay by us based on cost. Bed super comfortable which was a plus. The bathroom was filthy. One look at the shower recess and I wanted to run. Even the door to the bathroom was covered with dirty hand marks which had not been cleaned in a long, long time. Take your hand sanitiser. Guy at reception was not welcoming at all. On a positive note we were within walking distance of everything and it was nice and quiet. Scone is lovely and definitely worth a visit.

It was safe, reasonable queen bed,convenient location. About 500 metres from train line with coal trains rattle in middle of the night.

Room was off streets by a way so made it a very quiet stay. Reverse cycle was clean and provided heating for the frosty night very quickly and operated quietly. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Hours reception is open is great. We only decided we needed to stay in town about 6pm so having till 10pm to check in allowed us to grab a coffee, something plain to eat (as not up to restaurant meals such as Thai food from the motel restaurant), and take a break while out booking went through. Our quiet room offered space but kept cosy with a/c heating on. Ours was a pleasantly peaceful and comfortable short stay.

Great dinner, nice room

Nice size room. Quiet location. Great food at the restaurant for dinner. Advertised as having breakfast which it doesn’t. When travelling for work I don’t want to have to find somewhere, so book a hotel that has breakfast included or available. Need to update their page to reflect this

Overnight stay

Stayed one night, convenient location. Checkin easy, Stayed in Room 14 with parking outside the room. Room is clean, spacious & has a comfortable bed. The shower has excellent hot water & pressure although the bathroom could do with some updates. The rooms not sound proof, could hear the shower & toilet flushing in the next room. Not an issue for me but maybe something the owners could look into. Overall a pleasant stay.

This place has so much character. It’s an old country town motel and it absolutely owns it. A little dated but in the best way possible with a real vibe to it. The kind of place that feels like it has stories to tell and could easily feature in a true crime documentary, but in a strangely cozy and charming way. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked as it should. No unnecessary bells and whistles, just a solid, honest stay with personality. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that isn’t trying to be ultra modern and sterile. Would definitely stay again. Perfect if you appreciate places with history, atmosphere, and a slightly mysterious edge that makes the stay memorable.
