"Everything was acceptable, except that there was no central heating working in my room (and as I heard in many/most?) rooms. It was December and 3 degrees Celsius outside at night (and the day I left, they expected 0C). They gave me a portable electric heater that could not really heat the room and it was noisy and uncomfortable. The price was high--no special deal--and this was totally unexpected. Otherwise, things were OK and the

"I stay away a lot, and this is by far the best stay for along time UK or abroad. Service was excellent, the staff were highly professional and efficient. The room was immaculate and had all you could ever need.

"We were pleased to find we had been given the bridal suite with four poster, jacuzzi and oriental furnishings. Nice thought, but not well enough maintained in the details: three buttons on the jacuzzi didn't work, the TV required a PIN code we did not have, the sound system was switched off, and all without any kind of explanatory manuals. The room was atmospherically dark, so much so it was too dark to read! There was no option for making it a little lighter.
