Hotels near Savanna Portage State Park

"The breakfast was just carbs. No eggs, or bacon, or sausage. It was a let down. We also a city wide cable disruption. The pool was warm and nice. The hot tub was burning hot. "

Only issues were maybe not having hotel rooms ready: TV did not work in room, coffee not out at 8AM in morning (no pot in room), etc. Bar and food were nice to have. Lake access was questionable as hotel stay apparently could not dock boat - cabled off to villa owners/renters only??? Maybe would be nice to inform people staying in advance how to access lake, what is up with TV, etc. I would come back some day."

"This place was an absolute disappointment and far below expectations. From the moment we arrived, the property felt neglected and in serious disrepair. The condition was shocking—missing carpet, exposed areas without proper drywall, a terrible parking lot, and overall cleanliness issues throughout. The pool and hot tub were closed, which was a major letdown and not clearly communicated beforehand. The environment was loud, dirty, and extremely unwelcoming. Staff were not friendly, and the entire experience felt uncomfortable. Guests deserve an honest warning before booking, as this hotel did not match reasonable expectations in any way. I would absolutely not recommend staying here. Save your money and look elsewhere."

"This motel is definitely an older motel but it has great character. Check in was very easy. Beds were comfortable. The room was very clean. It was homey. We parked right outside our door with easy access to come and go. Our view was the lake so it was great to see right away in the morning."
