On the right as you come into Sausalito is a small road down to a secluded beach area with good views back towards San Fransisco. Make sure you go to the deli in the supermarket (Golden Gate Market) just up the road to get a pastrami sandwich to eat whilst looking at the view...probably the best sandwich I had in my time in the states.

Overall stay was wonderful, clean rooms and close to shops and restaurants. Nice that there was a parking garage attached to the hotel that you could pay to park in. No microwaves in the room but communal ones in the lower lobby.
